Thank you. The way people made it sound is that I would have to do ALL of the following (creating a “loop”):
BrawlPad -> PS3 TE
BrawlPad -> Imp v2
PS3 -> Imp v2
Apparently that is NOT the correct way, lol. Glad I asked.

You can make loop if you want.
It is not wrong way.
I’m in the market for a high end, fully custom built stick. Does anyone have suggestions to good builders? I already know of B15dm, but just wondering if anyone can recommend some others. Thanks!
Just asking, but are there any pre-built DIY arcade stick cases that can have a Korean stick mounted?
Can someone identify and give a review on this stick?

I would be very cautious of that stick, imo. It looks like a knock off the Hori Fighting EX Stick. Also, the shell looks really thin, and you may have problems putting in a new stick, if you were planning on doing so. When I put a Sanwa in a PS2 Hori FS EX2 I had to do a lot of bs work, and even once it was mounted, it was touching the bottom of the case, causing even more problems / more work.
Are you looking for a stick for Xbox 360? Or something that works on PS3 and 360? Do you have a price range in mind?
I’ve not seen that particular shell before, where did you find the pic?

uk ebay seller, im just looking for something cheap as ive just spent a lot of money on consoles (xbox 360), screens, cables…etc to set up a local weeky event.
Do not get.
It’s a real shame you didn’t get here sooner as £20 Brawlsticks have just sold out on Zavvi and TheHut. You can still get the PS3 versions at that price but that’s no good for you.
Don’t know what else to suggest for a decent budget stick that’s easy to mod. Keep an eye open for more Brawlstick or Fightstick offers. Or even a basic Hori VX.
I would like to know the name of a legit PS3 pad to X Box360 adapter. I want to use a PS3/PS2 pad on X Box without having to deal with any input lag or random messed up directions. Thanks in advance
Better off just dual-modding.
I know it’s not what you want to hear, but you probably won’t find a GOOD PS2/PS3 -> Xbox 360 converter. I’ve tried a lot of them in the past (including some of the $80+ adapters) and they were all problematic. I just did a quick search on Amazon.com, and the only two I haven’t used are the XFPS 3.0 Sniper, and the F-1 Converter, but both are also being sold for $130+ on Amazon. It looks like the Sniper has its own problems as well, but the F-1 Converter specifically mentions playing fighting games and such, even though its main function is to use a PS3 Logitech Wheel on Xbox 360. Personally, I think $149 after shipping is absolutely absurd, unless the damn thing is going to do the dishes and cook me dinner too.
Your best bet is to find an Xbox 360 controller that is configured similar to a PS3 controller. I don’t know what kind of pad you use, but I VERY HIGHLY suggest looking at purchasing a MadCatz “Brawlpad” if I were you. Right now, you can get the wired WWE Brawlpad for $14.99 and the wireless for $19.99 at Game Stop. I personally bought one just a few days ago on Wednesday night, because I am doing a dual mod on my other TE stick. When I plugged it in last night to make sure it worked before I started pulling it apart, I was absolutely floored at how great the d-pad feels on the controller. I ended up playing SFxT for well over an hour JUST using the pad, because it felt so great. Unfortunately, this afternoon I finally disassembled it, but I am DEFINITELY buying another one VERY soon, to keep for myself. If you don’t like the WWE art or whatever (I don’t), and you’d rather have somehing else, you can get SFxT or SF4 Brawlpads on Amazon pretty easily, but they will cost a bit more (they run about $40 or so.)
So yeah, sorry for the bad news, but I’m willing to bet you’ll love that Brawlpad. I used to play Tekken competitively on a pad, and this is much better feeling than a Dual Shock 1/2 or a PS1 Analog Controller. If you’re willing to try it out, just go to the link below, click on “Pickup @ Store” and put in your zip code to see what stores nearby have them. Also, just a forewarning, make sure you call first to ensure they have them in stock, particularly if the store’s inventory says *Low Stock, because the first two stores I called were sold out, but the next store had like 9 of them on the wall.

Nice! I just read it, and I thought it was really well written. Totally agree with the whole “controllers should have more face buttons” bit too, and this controller feels perfectly spaced out even though it has six face buttons instead of four. Also, I understand you would like to have eight face buttons, and I’m curious how you think that would be laid out (or what you would like to see)? Would they just put two more buttons at the end so that there’s two rows of four, or would it be something like putting one button above the middle set and one button below it? Or maybe put them both above? I’m just trying to think how that could be done where it doesn’t feel like the controller is too crowded. I thought maybe putting the two triggers or two “programmable buttons” (like the MCZ Black Ops controller has) right under the d-pad would be useful, because then you could use your thumb for those and if they were programmable you could set key buttons to be there in addition to their typical spot.
Thanks! I agree the standard Pads are spaced out very well (won’t say perfectly). I can’t comment on the SD Pads because I’m waiting on mine to come.
The reason I’d like to have 8 face buttons rather than 6 is because I play one-handed. I can’t use the shoulder buttons. As for the layout, ideally, if I was talking to MadCatz, I’d tell them to just make an extra column, so it’s 2 rows of 4.
(360 as an example)
X Y LB RB
A B LT RT
This would give it a more of an arcade stick feel.
For mods, that obviously isn’t possible. Neither is putting them above X and Y because there is a screw post above Y. (i only know this because I’m having one modded). Next to X and A may be tricky for the player because the distance between the d-pad and the buttons may be too small (which is my concern with the SD pads). The only realistic place is below, but under A might be too low, so under B and (if the 360 BrawlPad is the same as the PS3 one) RB works.
My only other problem is the placement of Start and Home/Guide. With how I play I accidentally hit them, which is DQs at tournaments, so why not put the on top, like a shoulder button?
Couple of questions. What layout does the Hori EX2 have? And anyone here have experience with the old Sega Saturn Virtua Stick? Here’s a picture: http://media.gdgt.com/img/product/31/oiy/saturn-virtua-stick-1st-gen-2kd7-640.jpg
I’m kinda bumming on money and was planning on picking up a SS to USB converter and use it. Anyone have it here? Is it any good?
American Virtua Sticks suck, Japanese ones are solid.
Just to corect this, the Xtokki 360 is a lagless PS2->360 converter and is available here: http://etokki.com/Xtokki360 There are lots of posts about it in the Converter Compatibility Thread.
I don’t get plexis. Why do you need them?
