Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

Is the joystick for the SFxT Pro stick suppose to be this loose? This is my second arcade stick, i previously played on the Official Street Fighter IV FightStick for the Xbox 360 (the smaller one) and the stick was much more stiff and firm

I’ll eventually get use to it, but it’s like learning to use a arcade stick all over again with all these missed directions.

You are playing with a real Sanwa JLF.
Your previous Arcade Stick was with a non-cool Joystick.

Probably off topic/wrong area but how do if i can access the stage music’s and character themes of sfiv AE on PC? Wanted to throw them on itunes to listen to them instead of the boring drone of the training mode music.

I wanna install an LS-58 into an HRAP3 with the stock JLF, which mounting plate do I need?

MS?

Or you could just use the original JLF mounting plate if you drill & countersink your own holes.

Hey all

I realize this probably isn’t enough info to be of much use… but

I just dual modded a friends ps3 te with a brawl pad. Tested it on 360, works fine. Tried testing ps3 functionality with my computer (no ps3) and the computer recognizes the controller, installs drivers, but does not register any button presses or directional inputs. Only things I’ve done to the original pcb are: soldered wires to the directional pins on the opposite side of the board as the harness connector, soldered to usb power and ground, and soldered a signal for the home button.

Is there any reason why the pc wouldn’t register inputs other than me fucking something up?

Yes. This is common with PS3 TE models. Only the Chun Li and newer TE models have fixed this. They use a USB standard which your PC does not support. The stick should work perfectly fine on a PS3.

Awesome. Thanks for the reassurance. I did a pretty sloppy job, but sloppy and working is better than sloppy and fried.

Hey all. Got a couple of questions.

  • Is there any difference between the different TEs (Rnd1 Rnd2 TE-S MvC etc.) if I plan on replacing buttons, stick and PCB?
  • Does the Paewang pcb work in any stick? most installations I see are TEs so just wanted to double check.
  • Whats the difference between a paewang and PS360?

Thanks

Not sure if this goes here, but is this a good deal or can I find better for around this price range? Not too laptop savy, but i5 and 6 gigs of ram seems great.

  1. Depends on what all you mean, but not really. The LED panel is slightly different between models, art is different, basic plate and case is the same.
  2. It can be made to work in any stick, sure.
  3. Screw terminals.

Hello, I bought a wwe brawl stick (waited 3 weeks for the damn thing) and the stick dosen’t feel very accurate. I want to change it and I was thinking of buying a semitsu ls-32. Is it compatible with the wwe brawl stick ? And how is the ls-32 in comparison with the deafult stick ?

Thanks Toodles, followup question if I may. Why all the hype for the new PS360 when Paewang is available now and cheaper?

PS360 != PS360+
And, I wish I knew the answer to that question. People are strange. A lot of it is that people are scared of soldering.

Trying to mod a stick. I have the original SF4 SE stick, and I need to replace all the buttons and the stick itself. I want it to feel as close as possible to what I currently have, the Madcatz TE “S” stick (more specifically, theChun Lione). And, if it matters, it’s a 360 stick. So, quick questions:

  1. I assume I need the OBSF 30MM pushbuttons, correct?
  2. I’ve been trying to educate myself on this, but what do I need to replace to make the SE’s joystick itself feel like my TE’s? I don’t know why it feels off, but it does. The SE’s stick kind of squeeks a little when I move it and is a little bit less responsive than my TE overall.
  3. Out of curiosity, what is the size of the TE’s balltop, and what length of stick/rod/whateverit’scalled do I need to get the same mount height?

I appreciate any help.

  1. Yup.
  2. http://www.focusattack.com/sanwa-jlf-tp-8yt-sk-joystick/ The stick in the SE is a madcatz knockoff JLF. The one I linked is the real deal, same as in all of the TE’s.
  3. 35mm. Take your pick: http://www.focusattack.com/search.php?search_query=balltop&x=0&y=0

The mod should be very easy to do, especially since it looks like you’ve done some homework on it. The only thing I might want to plug as something to think about is to pickup a JLF-TE cable from me; the existing cables that connect to the SE stick are hot glued on, and dont properly latch onto the stick. Mine do. Totally optional though.

Guys quick question, I just started using my SfxT fighstick and after some use, the joy stock makes a squeaky noise everytime I press down, and only down, is this a sign of a defective stick and or what does that mean? I ask you guys since you guys have expertise opening and installing new stuff onto your guy’s fightstick, and it’s just that sound, because when I press down and input a command it reads it fine, any tips nd help is highly appreciated

  1. Paewang / Datel pcb is prone to faults, same as the original PS360 board

  2. PS360+ auto-detects between 360 & PS3 so no need for a dedicated or crossed Turbo button

  3. PS360+ will also work on other consoles via the RJ45 jack

  4. Firmware updates

I firmly believe that the hype is justified.

Quick question, I have a dual modded te stick that auto detects for pc/psc or xbox 360. I would like to use the xbox pcb with my computer rather than the chimp pcb currently in it. Is this possible?
