Thanks Zeth. And it turns out I do have a shaft cover on my HRAP. So I’m glad I checked before ordering the dustwasher.
Art at tek-innovations says to get permission from the artist before sending him the art to print though. So I was just wondering how most people go about doing that? Finding something off of Deviantart is easy usually to contact the artist, but some of the stuff I might want to use comes from imageboards and the artist doesn’t speak English.
Or is this just a legal thing that he has to put on his website?
HEY! I have a Street fighter TE stick with the white sides. How do I paint them black? I want to customize it to make it all black, but those white sides piss me off. But how do you successfully paint plastic? Or is there some secret out there? Or Replacement sides? Thanks.
I have a madcatz te xbox360 fighstick. I was wondering how I should go about dual modding it to work with my ps3, xbox, and PC. Would a Chimp SMD do the job if i want it to auto detect too? Or is there a better way of doing this?
I want to do a wireless/wired mod of my Madcatz SE stick with an old used Sixaxis controller membrane (So I can use it with my PC and be able to unplug the cable), and I have a few simple questions.
The resistor needed is ~7.5K to 8.5K, and while RadioShack didn’t have any exact ones like this, I picked up a variety of 4K and 1K ones to hopefully be able to string together and use. Will that be okay?
The sticks on the Sixaxis are wobbly and move on their own, assuming it doesn’t just easily detach from the membrane (Which I assume it doesn’t), can I just cut the leads to them/remove them entirely without any issues?
This will of course work with my PC wireless/wired via the Sixaxis USB port, right? Currently, PS3 controllers work on my PC, so I’m only assuming it should be fine. (The stick by default doesn’t work with my PC and I have no more space for PCI/front bay USBs)
Feel free to include anything else I should be wary of! Thanks for any help.
Also, I’m looking in to replacing the art. There aren’t any Kinko’s around here, so what else can I look for in terms of places that would be helpful? Does Kinko’s have an online service with home shipping?
So what is everyone’s thoughts on the ultimate mortal kombat button configuration? I’ve never played on any Mortal Kombat arcade machine, but it looks like it might be a good layout for fighters like Blazblue that only need four buttons for primary use.
The only downside is, I have 8 buttons and also, they seem too close already.
Is it possible to set up the buttons like that if you get the panel for it? Or do you have to do any extra wiring? (Since the cables might not reach maybe?)
Usually the cables in a stick are long enough for you to do custom layouts like these. If you wanted to rock 8 buttons you could always try out the Timberwolf hybrid layout:
EDIT: I’m aware there are nine buttons but the yellow button and the lower white button are the same button but wired up to two separate buttons. This layout was designed my Timberwolf so that he could use the normal MK layout or the standard vewlix layout.
Is this possible way to install leds on buttons? Can it be done without an external led board… And if yes, do i need to solder a resistor to red wire? Im wondering is 5V enough for 8 led buttons?
