The USB does not handle anything else but PlayStation 3 and PC.
Want to use the supported Consoles of Multi-Console Cthulhu? Need to solder to rows behind USB.
Thank you!
Would it be an easy task to put this custom arcade stick guts(dual mod) into a TE without soldering? I believe I have some drilling tools. If not, how about a HRAP3 SA? Link at bottom
I have been reading around on the subject matter, which is why this question has come up.
In regards to dual-modding…
I have several PS3 TE sticks. It seems that most of the dual mod methods are meant to take a 360 stick and get PS3 compatibility. Is there a reasonably easy way to get 360 compatibility with my PS3 stick?
Same as any Dual Mod.
You will just add in a Common Ground Xbox 360 Controller PCB.

Only give you links to the best to use.
Or if you remove everything, and want to use only one PCB, can use the Joytron one.

It is both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in one PCB.
Strange issue here. I dual modded my TE awhile back and over the last few months it has been acting strange. For the most part it works great but rarely (maybe once a week or so) some input just don’t respond or stick. For example, out of nowhere I wont be able to jump for a few seconds. It’s definitely not the buttons or stick because they’re fairly new and I checked the wiring but all is good. Anyone else recognize this problem because it’s been bugging me for awhile now. Could the pcbs not be receiving enough power or something?
Hey guys, I have some questions.
I want to paint my SE fightstick case all black. Will this spray paint do ?
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/3/HouseHome/PaintStains/SpecialtyPaints/PRDOVR~0481527P/Krylon%2BFusion%2BInterior%2B%252B%2BExterior%2BPaint%252C%2BAerosol.jsp
Also, how many coatings should I spray around the case ?
This is my first time doing this, so I don’t want to mess up or anything.
EDIT: Or should I use Rust-O-Leum instead?

You sure it is on DP and not LS?
To answer your question about the paint you cud use, its really all about preference… here on SRK, from what i can remember, theres a split on whether to use Krylon or Vinyl Dye… but again this is on your preference (and maybe budget i guess)… the best thing i cud advise you on is if you can’t decide, go get what u want and try the paint out on some scrap and see how well you work with it, that way wen it comes time to actually paint ur stick u’ll feel comfortable with what ur using. To answer the other half of ur question ill refer u to this thread: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=180697 … theres lots of stuff there that’ll help you on ur painting project, just read thru the picture tutorials or follow the links provided ~ ur choice … enjoy
EDIT: Whoops… forgot to mention to stay away from regular spray paint as it will eventually chip if u don’t handle it with care… make sure to get something that bonds with/seeps into plastics (like Krylon Fusion or Vinyl Dye)
Hey, thanks for the reply man.
Looks like I’m going with Krylon Fusion because it bonds to plastic and resin materials without sanding or priming (according to the description on the site lol)
But then again, I’ll probably try both products to see which one looks best.
Thanks again man !
Duplicolor vinyl die.
It’s the only thing you should use.
While you’re reading that Krylon/Vinyl Dye painting thread, don’t forget to check out this post, where the OP finally got the Krylon Fusion sanded off of his case so he could use vinyl dye: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=180697&p=8436728&viewfull=1#post8436728
If you want to make your white plastic case look like it was made of black plastic, use vinyl dye. It is braindead easy to apply without drips, and looks natural.
Just got my TE stick. Im curious as to the amount of pressure i’m able to put on it doing moves. I dont want to break it, lol. Is it easily breakable? Can I jerk the stick around and still have it last?
^ Its built to last, they put Sanwa stuff in there for a good reason [real arcade parts can handle the stress ;D]… unless u plan to throw it on the ground while doing (i do not suggest this by the way =_=) everythings good, play ur heart out… enjoy
Yeah it looks like I’m going with Vinyl dye now after reading all the problems with Krylon lol.
Is there any way to adjust the TE to 8 way or is the OEM restrictor plate only 4 way?
Stock is already set to 8-Way.
Why would it be 4-Way?
You play Pac-Man?
Donkey Kong?
All on MAME?
MAME is fun! :bgrin:
But yea sorry. Then I don’t think I’m talking about the restrictor plate. Nvm I found what I was looking for…an octagonal gate.
It’s a common misconception that the Square gate = 4-way, which is not the case at all.
4-way implies a restriction to only 4 directions of movement.
The Square gate is 8-way as it allows you to hit all 8 directions but with corners only for diagonal directions.
There’s an Octagonal gate that is 8-way with corners for all 8 directions. If this is what you’re asking for, they can easily be bought from places like Lizardlick.
Yea I did some reading and realized that’s what I was looking for. Thanks for the info though!
