how do i take out the turbo gauge so that i could spray paint it?
if this is for the Madcats SE/TE, well there are a number of ways to do this but you can go here for some reference: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=180697 … just scroll down a bit till you see pictures and jus skip to the part that talks about the disassembly of the turbo/guide pieces… my suggestion also is that when u are about to pop out the small plastic pieces for the LEDs with like a pencil or sumthin be slow and careful wen trying to pop em out b’cuz they break really easy, but in the worst case and u do break 'em dont worry too much b’cuz they still will fit and all that~its just more of a bich keeping track of even smaller pieces… enjoy
thanks
Hi, I’m new to the forums but interested in messing with my stick. I have some experience with soldering work and electronics, so big stuff won’t really intimidate me too much.
What I really want to know though is if there’s a way to add Wii functionality to a fight stick. I have a sf4se stick with new buttons, and I have an extra wiimote I’d be willing to sack. Is it possible? Has it been done before? Maybe classic controller if not wiimote functionality itself?
Edit.
Actually! Come to think of it gamecube functionality would work equally well for me.
well im not so shur about hacking a wiimote but if u want a stick to connect to the wii u can always do an MC Cthulhu setup + Neutrik RJ-45 port and then make a gamecube controller cord and presto~change~oh a stick that connects to the Wii… hopefully your stick is an xbox 360 one since itll make things easier but refer to this thread: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=225565 …enjoy
I’m in need of a little assistance.
I recently bought a PS3 cthulhu board b/c I believe I burned my original PCB I was using for my Hori FS3. I wanted to test out if my joystick worked after wiring the board, but I couldn’t move anywhere. I plugged it in the right way. I don’t believe I could’ve screwed this up since I don’t have to solder anything just yet.
EDIT: Would I need to do something to the microswitches? I noticed that some mods required the microswitches to be scraped a bit b/c of the pcb not having a common ground for the switches. Would that be the same for the cthulhu board?
Cthulhu on a FS3, hmm. I’ll assume you didn’t mod this with a JLF. Pictures would clarify some things.
Note there are two prongs on each microswitch. You wire one as signal from the Cthulhu, the other one as ground to complete the circuit. You can daisy-chain the ground of the microswitches and share only one ground from Cthulhu.
Its with a Sanwa JLF stick. And I’m using the wiring harness that came with it. I try to put up some pics soon.
EDIT: Here’s the pic of how I have my wires aligned. Red is up, orange is down, left is green, yellow is right, and black is the ground wire. the 2 wires on the far right are my start and select buttons.

and here’s one of how I have my microswitch set for my joystick.

I set it in the same way it was shown from the hori wii arcade stick tutorial. LINK
EDIT 2: I notice that it’s kind of hard to see the black wire in both images, but it is there.
double post
Hey guys,
I’ve searched the whole damn interwebs for info on dual modding an official 360 pad (wired late version) with Cthulhu. Some guy says that it’s not possible (you know, because of the common line thing), the other says you have to fix it somehow to make it common ground…Slagcoin has a lot of cool info, but nothing on dual mod, Instructables.com has nothing, SRK has nothing…
I’ve found the map for TP (test points) on the back of the board and I can get it to work solo…but I can’t get the damn thing to work along with Cthulhu.
Anyone?
May I please get some help for my arcade stick from my post earlier on this page?
So i noticed my Jab button on my TE stick goes on and off randomly, so i decided to swap the buttons… Problem is that the stupid button is stuck. The left side on the snap thingy won’t budge no matter how hard i try to push. Any suggestions on what i can do to remove this sucker?
Yeah i tried that, the thing still won’t budge…
So I have to rotate the microswitch to fit into my new custom case that I bought. Problem is, I can’t get the Restrictor gate off. I’m pushing in the tabs and pulling on it, but the damn thing won’t budge whatsoever. Help?
I have started playing games on GGPO with some friends and i can’t get my TE stick to work, I have windows 7 and it is the 360 stick. I can get a regular 360 wired controller to work for some reason, just not my stick.
I have a total newb question. I suppose I should ask here. Im looking into using a RJ45 Neutrik adapter with one of Toodles MC boards. My question is, which cable is appropriate to use connecting the PCB’s USB ‘B’ to the RJ45 adapter from inside the case? From every photo I can see, it appears that it takes an Ethernet cable both ways? Would really appreciate an answer to this, as I cannot seem to find it anywhere.
You do not connect to the USB.
It goes to the rows behind USB.

Thanks for the quick reply jdm714.
I read through that first thread, I saw no mention of this: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10311&cs_id=1031102&p_id=5345&seq=1&format=2
USB to Ethernet adapter. Would it be possible to run a usb cable from the pcb to the outside of the case, then use that adapter to connect cables for other consoles? Or must I solder a RJ45 jack to the MC board? Thanks for the help!
