You are not supposed to push down the tabs.
You push tabs towards the inside, and lift the Restrictor up.
?
you dont need to mess with the ball top to take the restrictor off… push the tabs 'IN" twoards the center… not DOWN towards the base… so you push in and pull up on the restrictor one side at a time…
haha
lol i know that now but they still tough as shit to get off the mount.
I’m sorry man, but I don’t understand what you’re trying to say lol. I suspected that it refers to the Right Stick, D-pad and Left stick, and I pointed that out (I just wasn’t sure of it), the question was, what difference does it make on the madcatz TE stick and when I accedently put the tumbler on the RS side, my joystick suddenly stoped working (the buttons work fine, but the stick itself doesn’t respond to movement). Is it a malfunction? Is it a common problem?
Does playing with youre tumbler on the LS actually different then playing on a DP?
I’m saying the TE emulates what a Controller does.
Test with SFIV or MvC3.
Plug in the Controller that came with your Console.
Play with the Left Analog as movement and tell me what happens.
Play with the Right Analog as movement and tell me what happens.
Test with FPS game.
Plug in your Mad Catz TE.
Play with the LS and tell me what happens.
Play with the RS and tell me what happens.
It’s working as intended. When you move the switch, it makes the JLF in your joystick act as the corresponding thumbstick or dpad on a normal controller. Ya know how some menus and stuff in xbox live, you need to use the right thumbstick to scroll the text? That’s why they added it. If you switch it to RS, it will scroll that text. The right thumbstick doesn’t control movement in fighting games, so with the switch set to RS, you can’t move. Switch the stick to LS does act differently than the thumbstick. Don’t use it. You’ll get weird dash inputs and have trouble hitting the corners.
Thank you, you’ve explained well about this whole thing and which I should and should not use (:
Lol I thought my stick was broken cuz it doesn’t work when I switch to RS rofl.
Okay so I am a Dual shock PS3 pad player. I have heard of an adapter board so that I may play on the 360, but is there a controller out there that already has the multiple ports altogether? It would really save me the hassle of taking the adapter all over or even misplacing it while I’m in my home.
And if there is one are their any users here that are familiar with the product and can confirm it’s quality and reliability?
-Much appreciated for the help in advance
So , i’m new to fighting games in general and i’ve been getting into with my friends and they said I should get a stick (they have MadCatz TE)
Thing is, im a balla on a budget so i’ve narrowed my stuff down to these sticks:
http://stores.horiusa.com/-strse-122/Xbox-360-Fighting-Stick/Detail.bok
Just wondering which one would be better since the SFIV ones are no longer made. :|.
Also , I know I can mod the WWE one, but idk if I can mod the Hori (Only reason I know about the WWE is because I have been lurking on these forums all morning)
I would be looking to mod once I get good/stick breaks.
Any help is appreciated.
For the most part, it’s easier to mod a WWE stick than a VX, and in most cases, most people go with the WWE Brawl stick.
Both are really good entry level sticks, but at the moment, stick with the WWE stick.
Hope this helps.

Brawlsticks are on clearance for 29.99 at gamestop. In store only. Dunno where you’re located, but that might help you decide.
97 and 99 miles away . lol .
i got a Hori Fighting Commander Pro PS3 Controller and GTMax Controller Converter Adapter Cable so I could convert to Xbox 360 if the place I’m at requires it. But it doesn’t seem to work when converting to the 360. Is there a method I need to do to get it work? Is the converter I’m using not one that would work? Is there something else I could use to convert? I rather not have different pads for different consoles o.o feels weird…little help please
Anyone tried painting the white plunger inside of clear buttons? I’d like to paint mine silver to give more of a clear effect to the whole button and my problem with just adding some sort of silver material is that the side of the plunger is still white and visible from many angles.
b15 does it…
i have a question about modding,
has anybody got a vid or done a mod on a madcatz sfxt stick?
i was hoping you guys could help me out with finding a tutorial
like changing buttons,art etc
thanks in advance !
Changing buttons isn’t any different than for any other TE stick. Same Sanwa parts.
Art may be a little bit different, but it’s fundamentally the same as any other art mod. Peel off old art, and stick on new art.
Does anyone know if a Sanwa snap-in would do OK in a wood panel without any routing? Would the tension from the snap-in things hold them in place, or does it not work like that?
Generally, it is recommended that you screw with a wooden panel. However, there are less colors for OBSN then OBSF, so I could understand wanting to Snap.
One thing you can do is have screws holding in a plexiglass cover, and then using snap in against the plexiglass. Usually, screw ins are holding in the plexiglass, but in this case, the plexi will hold in the snap-ins.
