What would be a good tool to cut the inner frame of a tournament edition fightstick? I am getting a new top panel and I need to cut some of the frame to make room for the joystick which will be on the right side.

Thanks for the advice above I guess I really didn’t think that one through lol

Anyways back, I had some computer repair place do it as they had the necessary tools.
Looking at it their job didn’t look as clean as the modder’s, anyway I plugged it in there and it worked so I was happy
I finally got to play it right now and after a couple matches my computer saw it as if it was getting unplugged and a bit longer it stopped working!
I unplugged it and stopped playing but after 10 minutes it worked again, i guess there’s a bad connection here, or elsewhere?
As I finished writing this it stopped working, is there a better alternative to mod a ps3 stick for xbox with what I have now?

Ps, connection to right bumper just broke too =/

Should had gotten them to do the other three wires too.

But the problem is to check the USB first.
The Outgoing USB cable is connected to something right?
An Imp, a small black PCB that controls the USB in a Dual Mod?
Or is there a physical switch that the USB is connected to for Arcade Stick?

If the wires are breaking off so easily then something is very wrong with the mod. Has the 360 pcb been secured to the case or is it floating around?

Alternative pcb to use is from a 360 Fightpad or Brawlpad.

Dremel.

I’m putting together a shopping list of tools for handmade stick cases, but having trouble finding the right size of hole saw bits for 24mm/30mm buttons, can anyone link me to some recommendations?

It was secured at first but a former roommate pried it off to connect a headset.
It was working fine till now even after a couple drops. Like I said I’ve had it for a year guess it finnaly gave up. I might by a new stick from a friend though.
To switch between consoles there’s a switch in the cable compartment the stick still doesn’t function in ps3 mode. I don’t see any other pcb

So… How do I identify which PCB will need replacing? I think its the turbo / guide PCB, but I’m uncertain.

And after that, what will be necessary in order to replace the identified part?

was it a 360 TE or a PS3 TE? I’m thinking its a 360 TE since you are talking about 2 PCB’s but just checking to make sure… you say water damage but what exactly happened… was it submerged? or something spilled on top of the TE… things like this is a little tricky since you didnt quite explain what happened just that you had water damage… the more info you have the better it is for those that will be able to help you… Dark mentioned that placing them in rice to dry out before testing… you really should do this it actually helps… a little more info will help a lot tho… and pictures if can…

I’ve been out of the game for a while but now I’m heading back… Which of the retail (not custom) 360 sticks out right now would be considered “best”? I have a few PS3/PC sticks I’ve put together, but most of my friends have migrated to the 360. I guess I could wait til that PS360+ is out to update my sticks, but need something relatively soon.

I just finished wiring my first custom stick. I just had one question before I plugged it in to see if it works. Each of my Sanwa buttons has 2 terminals, a Normally Open and a Common. There are not markings to indicate which is which. It doesn’t matter which one I used on each button will it? I just want to make sure my Playstation won’t start on fire when I plug it in.

No matter.

Thanks. I didn’t think it did but had to make sure. Here goes nothing.

Hello, I’ve been playing SF for like 3 years now, and I’ve actually never got around the toddlers next to the Turbo button. The ones that say LS DP RS. I heard that it means Left Stick, Digital Pad, Right Stick, is that true? What does it do exactly?
I ask cuz I’ve accedently hit the toddler and put it on the RS side and stick suddenly stoped working oO While it works perfectly on LS and DP and I don’t really see any difference between those, what’s the point of this whole thing, can someone explain please?

How can i take out the SF4 SE Restrictor Plate push tabs won’t go down…

ok so i just got an SE/brawlstick and i know way back when that there was some kinda problem with the joystick rubbing off some kindof circuit or sensor cuz some screw was too long or something.and there was a mod to fix it. ive never dealt with an SE before and the exact thread (if there is one) is hard to find.
could someone please help me in the right direction?also, whats the best way to remove the artwork for it?

thanks in advance.

Well, when you bought your Console, it came with a Controller right?
And that Controller has Left Analog and Right Analog.
LS and RS is emulate those.

Go to a game that uses the Analogs.
Play using your Arcade with LS and RS.

Well, what Arcade Stick do you have?
It is either Mad Catz FightStick or Mad Catz BrawlStick.

Mad Catz SFIV FightStick is the problem.
Mad Catz WWE BrawlStick uses different parts, no problem.

man i didnt even take off the ball top so it even more difficult for me to take this off some ppl said u dont need to do that but i dont know why im having trouble.

ah,gotcha, just wanted to make sure they didnt use the same parts, thanks for clearing that up. how should i go about removing the artwork?
