Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

hey guys, i’m running into problems with my round one TE fightstick for the Xbox 360. I’ve had it for 7 months now and i’m noticing that the buttons/joystick aren’t responding as quickly as the used to be. Could it be something with the cable? or is it time to replace/repair parts? I play SFIV a lot and sometimes I slam on the buttons, so i’m guessing that caused the delays…but any advice would help.

toggle the LS DP RS and lock switch

if not take a size 3 allen key and take off the 6 screws on the control panel.
push the wires in the buttons to make better contact.
if those dont work explain the problem in more detail

i have a question about the wireless headset on the 360, i plan on getting one but was just wondering if it works on the HRAP EX, and the TE stick(with adapter)? also what kind of headsets work with the arcade-in-a-box stick on the xbox? its gonna be a while before i get one of those but i was just curious. thanks!

wireless headsets have an independant signal it has nothing to do with the stick.

Hey so another member told me to ask this in this thread. Basically i have a homemade custom stick i bought from someone on ebay and its supposed to be compatible with pc however when i plug it in the driver gets installed and everything but there is no response from the stick itself (playing sf4 on windows 7). So he told me that there may be a sync combination that i need to press in order for it to work? But im not sure what the pcb is =S actually i dont even know what a pcb is. Anyways any other ways to solve this? The seller said it works fine on windows vista…

One more real stupid question: Will the plungers for PS-14-DNC fit into the housing for PS-14-DN?

I need to buy a new bag online for my TE but I don’t know the size of a TE. Anyone have a list of specs or:

TE Width from white edge to white edge:
TE Height including stick:

Thanks.

Are there any blueprints for making a metal case?

An engineer is willing to cut out some pieces of aluminum for me and I don’t want to model it if there are any blueprints out on the interweb.

Please let me know. ty

Does anyone know if you can fit HAPP or whatever type of buttons that MAS sticks/MvC2 sticks use into a SF4 SE stick? Can the joystick fit too?

They are the same; the body.

Unresponsive SE button(s)

I’ve posted in here before about my unmodded PS3 SE stick. The jab button is unresponsive at times (set to R1 I think). I first thought it was a short in the wiring, so I swapped the All-kick wire with the jab wire to see if that would make a difference, but the jab button is still unresponsive sometimes.

The next possibility I’ve considered is that the button itself is causing the problem. I don’t know why this would be, since all the other buttons seem to work fine (though the MK button is unresponsive, just not as severely). Are Madcatz stock parts really that bad on the SE?

I have a Wii Neo Geo 2 stick with a button that sticks. It’s been recommended that I use a contact cleaner on the buttons. Any recommendations?

This is going to sound like a ridiculous questions but here it goes.

I’m thinking about changing my balltop on my JLF. But I was wondering whats the difference between the standard balltop and the meshball top? Is the mesh top just have the crosshatched appearance or does it actually have a diiferent textural feel to it?

Nothing.

Hello,

I’ve done a search for my exact question but to no avail, if i’ve overlooked my answer i apologize in advance : / I’m starting to build my first stick (yayy!) and im gathering my laundry list of parts that i need to order, but seeing as though this stick will be for personal use i want something that can have playability on 360 and on ps3. I know there are boards i can put in the stick to make it possible but im not entirely sure which one to use. From what i’ve seen on lizard lick there is a selection which further confuses me. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated!

option
1 chimp+360 common ground pcb
2 paewang evolution
3 WIRELESS option use leo from gummowed

Ah thats great thank you. And as far as finding a 360 pcb? Any suggestions?

it’s hit and miss with 360 pcb. the official one will work its just expensive.

here is the paewang, it’s good http://www.etokki.com/Joytron%20Paewang%20Revolution%20PCB%20Only this is all u need plus soldering skills

Any suggestions to which color pushbuttons and joystick should go with this art template that I made?

EDIT: I think I got it after checking out other people’s customized arcade sticks. I’m thinking about going with the Blue Seimitsu Bubble Ball Top, and have Red and White pushbuttons.

But now, should I have the red buttons or white buttons on top?

I’d go with alternating red and white OSBF’s and a red balltop.
