Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

Whats the most retard friendly way to add PS2 support to my new stick?

ok i havent been on in awhile and i already have a SE stick modded and just got me TE(woot!!) and wanted to know if there was a round restrictor plate i could get for it.

It has to do with port forwarding, it’s one of the first items from the FAQ.

Oh yeah lol. Thanks.
But before I do this, could this fuck up my internet at all if i do it incorrectly? :

I don’t see how it would. Just follow the FAQ.

you’re just opening up ports. it doesn’t mess with your MAC, or your isp.

Hey, quick question. I’m brewing up ideas for my new stick, and I want to make sure that I can easily identify cables apart (means I’m going to be using some form of sheilding for cable management, so I can’t just follow the wire back to the solder point…) What I’m looking for is 22awg stranded wire in different colors. Radioshack sells a three pack with Red/Green/Black (which is great, and I may pick it up to start working with), but I still need six other colors. Any ideas where I can get other colors?

can anyone help with my prob i posted a couple pages back?http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=220429&p=8409573&viewfull=1#post8409573

is Rustoleum clear gloss a good type of clear coat? anybody ever use it? http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=980036&Ntt=980036&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&recN=118420&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber

What types of joysticks do qcf’s 8 button cases support? The sanwa ones.

They are only made for Sanwa JLF.

I’m looking to pick up the Paewang Revolution for its dual compatibility, has anybody used this stick at all? Is it good for a first time stick user, or anybody in general?

Can anyone tell me what size is used to drill out the shaft on the JLF for LED mods? Kaytrim?

Guys, a quick question:

Can Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK easily be hooked with Toodles Cthulhu PC/PS3 Board or do I need something else as well?

You will either have to purchase a wiring harness, or solder directly to the pins on the JLF.

thanks for the knowledge, im willing to dish out hella muneez for an arcade-in-a-box only because i love their quality

Hello, I’m new to these forums and I am considering to modding my arcade stick. I recently bought an Hori FS3, and I wanted to take the arcade stick to the next level.

There’s a few questions I wanted to ask:

  1. So modding an arcade stick will help it perform better? Sometimes when I perform a command, my special attack isn’t executed when I KNOW I’m trying.

  2. I looked up parts and tools for me when I do mod my stick, I only need a tutorial(If there is one, XD) so that I am able to mod the stick. I tried looking around, but I didn’t see any tutorials around.

Thanks

I actually have the mayflash for PS2/PS3 (identical to Paewang). As soon as i got it, i changed out the buttons and stick since they are garbage.
The case is small and lightweight, but it is hollow (also top is made plastic) so it makes an echo effect when you hit the switches and buttons.

For a first time stick user, this stick is pretty decent for its price and dual compatibility.

Hey guys, I only got my TE Rd 2 stick less than a month ago, so I’m a complete noob to them.
My question is about the button layout.

The button layout on the 360 stick looks like this:

X Y RB LB
A B RT LT

I’m looking at the button config menu and the default layout for “Arcade Stick” is as follows:

X - mp
Y - hp
A - lk
B - lp
LB - PPP
LT - mk
RB - KKK
RT - hk

Now to me, that’s really really weird. Do people actually play like that??

I have to make a custom layout which I thought was the way it was always played:

X - LP
Y - MP
A - LK
B - MK
LB - PPP
LT - KKK
RB - HP
RT - HK

Now isn’t that how it’s usually played??
