Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

anyone?

ELECTROPR1NZ, there was a link in my Post.
Showed how to install Seimitsu LS-32-01 into HRAP 3.

Seimitsu LS-32-01 comes with SS Mounting Plate.
Need use Seimitsu RE Mounting Plate, which comes with LS-32.

Follow how to modify in the link.

Alright, I know where I can order a RE mounting plate.

I don’t quiet get what he is doing there… Would you mind explaining :x? Like I said i’m a total noob at this.

Also if I’m going to use the RE mounting plate method, do I get a short or a normal/long shaft?

Short if use RE Mounting Plate and not modify Joystick.
The SS Mounting Plate gives the +5mm needed to give standard height.

Quick question fellas. I just got a LS-32-01 and I’m trying to put it in the TE. Looks like I have to turn it to fit on the other mounting bracket that isn’t the one the Sanwa was on. Also, do you use the same screws that I took off the JLF because they don’t fit good on the other mount. I can get them down just a bit then they seem too big.

Also, is there a video or a write up somewhere on how to do this? Thanks everybody.

Yes, you have to rotate it.
The Seimitsu SS Mounting Plate mounts left and right, not top and bottom like Sanwa JLF-P-1 Mounting Plate.

Then the PCB has to be oriented to have the connector be in same as how the JLF was.

Thanks jdm. Do you use the same screws that I just pulled out of the JLF? I think they are too big to use on the bracket for the Seimitsu.

And what about this?

okay so after a lot of soldering on my 360 padhack ive finally gotten most of the main buttons working on the dpad, however im having probs with the ‘Down’ button. ive soldered it many times now and it still doesnt even register at all and i cant figure out if ive done something wrong, or not done something i should have.

take a look

iv followed the trace from the dpad down direction and soldered it to the via, the same as i have done with all the other buttons, yet this one refuses to work.

any help at all? iv already tried soldering to the via on the other side but the copper ring came out of it and its getting a bit cramped on the other side anyway with 2 other wires in very close vicinity.

any advice would be appreciated.

Dearest jdm,

Do you happen to have a picture of someone grinding button hole tabs with a Dremel? I couldn’t find one when I went digging. I’m trying to figure out which Dremel bit people specifically use for the grinding. I wouldn’t be so obsessive if I wasn’t going to be trying this for the first time on an HSS-0130. I would get the Klein cutter tool you like but it’s expensive and I already have a Dremel.

Your pal,
Kyle

Guys, can anyone tell me who’s fault is this:

I have a Mayflash with stock parts (awaiting the arrival of the sanwa parts shipment) and whenever am playing SF4, I get this really annoying thing, for example if I am moving my player to one direction for one second and then I suddenly try to move it to the opposite direction, it goes through sometimes but sometimes it just keeps going in the same old direction and then stops. I am thinking it’s the stock mayflash parts but not the pcb because the later just transfers the analog signals; generating them depends on the stock jlf.

@gauravraw

Are you playing SF4 on console or PC? Maybe it’s an issue with how the joystick translates the digital signal of the stock joystick to the X and Y axes of an analog stick.

Try hooking up your Mayflash to your PC after installing the drivers and change the direction output to Hat Switch (POV) and see if the problem still occurs.

I am running the stick on a PC. It works fine 95% of the times but when I execute real fast, that weird shit happen.

I use my Mayflash on PC as well and I never had that issue.

Make sure the joystick is set to POV if you haven’t already. Go into SF4 training mode and turn on input display to make sure you aren’t unintentionally hitting other directions when you execute your moves really fast.
