Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

Update^ I ended up going DIY and cracked the case open. I both rotated the X button so it doesn’t stick in a spot I would naturally press, and I made sure all the wires were secured better. everything seems pretty normal now.

okay cool i wasnt sure if i needed a different ground point for directions and buttons i will give it a try

Which spring would I use to help tighten the TE’s JLF?

Overclocking USB ports on Windows 7

Hey guys, just wondering…

How do I go about overclocking my USB sports on Windows 7?
I read up info on overclocking USB ports and even downloaded the programs needed, but non work for Windows 7.
Anyone got any ideas on how to go about overcloking usb ports for the Windows 7?

Hey I have a question… I have a MvC2 TE stick(X360),SF4 SE(PS3),HRAP3SA(PS3)… Can I just take out the insides of 1 and put some tape and make it dual-mod without soldering and all the fancy stuff?

seimitsu ls-33 for medium ls-55 for hard

yes you can tape them together with electrical tape but you will still need to bridge them, with a leo. i tried really hard not to laugh, is this a joke?

Playing NTSC and NTSC-J games on a PAL PS2 Slim

Basically I want to play some import games and I only have a PAL PS2 slim.I just watched video and it seems like Swap Magic is the perfect solution.

I just wanted to know if this was all I need to do this:

I don’t really want to buy this and then have to do/buy some other additional stuff to get it to work. Will this work straight out of the box like in the video?

You will need Slim Tool.

Or replace the Top Cover.

Or do.

The video even mentioned the the Flip Top.
So no, Swap Magic will not work straight out of box without modify to PS2.

Where to buy krylon clear coat spray paint for plastic?

Ah right.I thought the flip top was just there as an aesthetic mod.

Ok thanks.

Yeah it was a joke the tape part for the most part hehe… Would it be easier to just gut one of them or to buy a controller/Cthulu? Looking for the easiest route. My friend has a Xbox 360 wired controller he doesn’t use and I have a Six Axis controller I don’t use. Just looking for an easy route hehe… Also have another question not sure if it goes here. How good of a port is Street Fighter Alpha 2 from the PSN shop and if it’s perfect port of the PS1, is the PS1 port good? Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if the hori hrap pro ex is common ground? I wanna do a dual mod with it.

Not.

Ouch that sucks, but thanks for the reply jdm714

Soo, after having my HRAP 3 modded with sanwa parts for a long time, I feel it’s time to try out Seimitsu. I heard that they give a harder feel.

Question:
Which Seimitsu stick would I need to buy to change out the Sanwa JLF one and is there any difference between the Seimitsu clear & normal buttons?

Thanks in advance!

Cannot put Seimitsu LS-32(-01) into HRAP 3 without serious modification.
Either by removing the Mounting Bracket and drill directly to Control Panel.

Or modify the Seimitsu Joystick itself.
http://erwin1.blog64.fc2.com/blog-entry-14.html

The Seimitsu SS Mounting Plate will not fit the Mounting Bracket of HRAP 3.

Seimitsu SS Mounting Plate and non-Universal Mounting Bracket.

Using Seimitsu RE Mounting Plate works.

Seimitsu RE Mounting Plate and non-Universal Mounting Bracket.

http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/3573/ls32andbracket.png

Installed Seimitsu LS-32-01 with RE Mounting Plate; unmodified.

But Joystick will be really short, that is why modify like in the link above.
That is why use Seimitsu LS-32-01 with the default SS Mounting Plate.
It gives the 5mm needed.

But the Seimitsu SS Mounting Plate not fit.
If use the Seimitsu RE Mounting Plate, the Shaft will be really short.

Seimitsu LS-32-01 with RE Mounting Plate on non-Universal Mounting Bracket.

Seimitsu LS-32-01 with SS Mounting Plate on Universal Mounting Bracket.

Nothing different regarding Buttons.
If by Clear as in the PS-14-KN.

With the Seimitsu PS-14-K, then Microswitches are different.
But if Clear as Buttons with Clear Plunger, then nothing different to normal.

But what is normal?
Because even Seimitsu PS-14-G and PS-14-GN are different to each other.
The Seimitsu PS-14-G have flat top, while PS-14-GN have slight convex top.

Thank me with a Post after reading this.
I don’t like, “Thanks in advance,” because I feel sense of rushness; not cool.

I like to get confirmation from people I help.
Those who thank in advance, they just run away.

It is those type of people who just lay it out there.
And they expect to just receive freely.

After they get what they want, I don’t think they come back.
They have no contribution, and no confirmation to my help.
Just take and leave.

sounds like a few ladies I know…

Oh. My. God.

Thank you so freaking much for this post this helped me a ton!!!
I got the stuff about the buttons now and I’ll probaly go with the PS-14-G.

Just to clarify things.
If I want a LS-32-01 in my HRAP3, I need to buy the LS-32-01 + the SS/RE mounting plate? I really want to have the shaft to be like in the second picture, so a little guide on what I got to buy would be awesome.

I understand that but I say “Thanks in advance” for the people who at least take the time to read my post and answer it. I always thank people after that again

Again thank you very much, I’m looking forward to an answer. Oh and please excuse my noobiness I totally new to modding sticks, expect switching buttons and art :p.

wheres a good place to buy the Xconverter??(PS>>Xbox 360)
