Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

i hope so, I didn’t do anything too strenuous , i just imagine it was seths last laugh since it happened literally after he won :frowning: Would this be the right thread to be postin pics when i tear it open since i’ve never seen the inside of my stick and i doubt i will now whats loose. also i gotta mac so no testin for me. i know the buttons work, just not the stick

You magnificent bastard.

If you’re talking Seimitsu, then just put the nut in first and then screw the button in. Otherwise you’ll have to thin the nut down some.

Damn Nerrage! HA. I barely use my TE, I would never know. =(.

Well, there is this REALLY ANNOYING white plastic bridge under the lip of the seimitsu mounting bracket. I assume it’ll have to be cut on top of filing down the button. I have no clue what this bridge is supporting though.

Depends if you have Sanwa or Seimitsu nuts. A Sanwa nut is huge, and the vewlix layout just doesn’t accomodate. You can swap for a Seimitsu nut, though. The best way to do it is to have the nut against the metal plate, and then screw the button in, as opposed to normally placing the button over the plate, then screwing the nut on from the back.

;D

Well, looking at it, I can’t even get to that step without cutting this bridge of plastic. The TE doesn’t have this bridge.
Unless I cut this bridge (don’t have the tools to do so) and file the crap down out of this Sanwa nut, I can’t get it in.

Muahaha finally spudger’d the damn artwork off <3 thank you guys!
Taking the buttons out resulted in a nasty accident though…didn’t realise the microswitches were so sharp on the connectors ;_;

Now, quick questions. About GameonGrafix.
1: Do they ship to the UK?
2: Do they do TE prints along with the cuts?
3: Estimated price on that?
4: how do I ask, do I email them? Since I can only find CPs and Marquees on their site (Or I just suck at searching)
5: How durable are they?

I like the way you cleaed some things up for happ/iL based sticks. There are still a contengient of people that prefer the american styled sticks, which can get the idea they are looked down on. Hate to have prople discouraged and say their american style stick is crap. Personally, the lack of a happ based stick kept me from buying one for years. With the help of this forum, I was able to make my own and am quite happy.

Any recommended way to compress a spring for a stick to make it loose? The spring I have now for my LS-32-02 is mad stiff. I would put it through a vice but I dont have one.

If you’re a student, get every cent out of those hundred dollar books and use it. Just put something heavy on it for maybe a day or so.

Definitely shoot them an e-mail. I believe they ship overseas, but not even sure on the cost. As far as the cuttong goes, I’m not 100% sure. I had mine printed on one of their marquee since the size of my CP pretty much fit well within their printable size. I think they MIGHT cut it depending on what format you send them, but if not be sure and have a sharp cutting instrument.

The quality of the print is fantastic. They use material that cabs use, so it’s very durable and can be backlit if you so desire

Awesomeness, Thanks Spenz, shall shoot them an email.

I put it under the leg of my couch.

so no one on the entire internet has pink seimitsu buttons, no one except a single place in the uk has white sanwa bat tops…am i really asking too much? are these standard colors really so exotic? Am I alone in thinking that clear/transparent buttons are tacky as hell and your artwork really isnt that cool anyway?

Soooo… What would cause a custom to stop working all of a sudden? I haven’t touched my stick in months, and now after trying it on my PS3/wii/360 it does nothing. its a Paewang/PiiWee combo… checked all the wiring for shorts or grounds not connected but nothing obvious. Very sad :frowning:

Define stop working. What do the systems do when you plug them in, namely 360 or PS3, or PC would be good to try, too.

they do nothing… doesnt recognize anything, no buttons work… no msg about unknown device installed… at first i thought it was the the rj45 cable that was starting to act funny, but i made new cables and it worked then for a while… been sitting on my shelf for awhile… Gonna have to find a multi-meter now i guess. doing so well without one too!

heyyyy techtalk!

long time lurker here, so, i have this custom that i made that’s all happ or il (don’t remember) but anyways, i was at my campus arcade the other day and noticed that the sticks on the mvc2 cab were much looser than mine. how do i make it like that?

tl;dr
how to make american stick looser?

Alright, another question about GameOnGraphix.

If I were to go for the marquee option and cut the artwork myself, What dimensions for height and width would I need to put in for a Regularr TE template?
