Absolute Question and Answer Thread (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

Only if the grounds are connected between the two boards somehow, either from a wire directly connecting them, or from them board being connected to the same consoles.

Sanwa are similar but there is a minor difference: Seimitsu & Hori ball tops have a slightly larger flat area at the bottom where the threading is.

Possibly stupid question: What would be my best option for an adapter that would allow me to use my 360 TE stick for PS2 games? I’ve looked around and can’t seem to find much.

Nothing. There’s no good conversion from USB to anything. If you wanted to go in the reverse direction, it would be no problem. You should look at dual mod of PSX with 360 or take out 360 PCB and replace with PSX PCB, then use a converter for PS2>360

Okay, thanks. Good to know.

One of the screw’s in the top of my stick is slightly stripped and not budging. I, of course, don’t want to strip it any further. Anyone have any suggestions on a good way to safely remove it? Thanks.

I think everyone here knows what I’m about to say…

That’s right! POWER DRILL! XD

hey guys, im thinking about modding my TE.
id like to take the top of the metal panel, and give it a metallic finish which ive seen some people do here on srk with their hori’s (cant find any pics) anyone have a good idea about how i do this? a friend told me to sand the top but idk what else needs to be done.

400 grit sandpaper or higher. If you want a mirror finish, go with 1200 grit (found at automotive stores). If you don’t feel like killing your arms, you could go with a power sander, preferably radial.

I used to do the same thing with computer cases. Never tried it with a TE, though, but I’d imagine polishing it afterward with some sort of mineral oil and then applying clear coat would benefit it.

i appreciate the help, ill try to do this hopefully tomorrow (i think i got all that stuff here already)

Hey, guys. I had few quick questions. I felt that creating a new thread wouldn’t really be worth it.

I have Sanwa buttons on my stick and I want to replace the rims with clear ones. Knowing that Seimitsu is the only one that makes clear buttons, I don’t want to switch to them, I don’t like the way they feel.

But I hear that you could replace the microswitches in the Seimitsu buttons with Sanwa microswitches. I did a little bit of research and found:

My question is: Exactly which microswitch is found in the Sanwa OBSF-30’s? And another question, Am I able to mix and match the Sanwa button tops with the Seimitsu rims?

Thanks in advance!

TL;DR: I want clear button rims like Seimitsu has, but I want them to feel and play like Sanwa buttons. wat do SRK?

EDIT: Oh! And one more thing! I was curious as to where people get those custom feet. I’ve seen them on some TE sticks from time to time:

Thanks again!

The widely available Seimitsu PS-14-KNs screw ins cannot fit sanwa switches. It was the discontinued and rare PS-14-Ks that could swap sanwa switches. You will not find those in White and Blue.

You can get rollie snap in switches from ponyboy in the trading outlet:

These are compatible with Sanwa Switches if you want to swap out the default switches.
I have a few sets of them and they are pretty good.

So basically, I order six of these and swap out the microswitches and button tops for Sanwa ones, leaving just the button rim as the only Rollie part, and they will still feel and play like Sanwa?

Thanks again!

Seoul- the feet come from Jinxz you can hit him up on this thread

Or you can just order any PC case feet.
Mitron Elegant Anodized Aluminum Covered Case Feet (4/pkg) - Shiny Silver Products Model: RA45S [RA45S] : Performance-PCs.com, … sleeve it and they will come

No. Look at the green sanwa plunger and the rollie one in the picture above. The Rollie plunger cannot be replaced by a sanwa one. Sanwa plungers are too short.

Wonder if they have them at Microcenter. There’s one a few miles from my job…

Sweet! Thanks for the replies! I’ll definitely get some new feet ordered.

And I know this is annoying to ask, but since the button top doesn’t fit, if I replace just the microswitch, will it still kinda have more of a Sanwa feel? I know it’s really opinionated as far as it will feel, but I’m just so used to the Sanwa feel and don’t really want to give it up.

Thanks again for all of your help and contribution.

i read somewhere that for the LK button on the madcatz te. The seimitsu Ps-14-KN doesnt fit right how can i make it fit?

Same resistance, but the sound and wiggle room is different because of the button structure is different. It’s very slight but not a big deal imo.

Put the nut under the joystick mounting bracket corner first, up agains the panel, then screw the button in from the top.
