Quick question. I’m modding a Chun li TE-S and I am trying to remove the stock ball top, but for some reason I am having a very hard time. I’m supposed to put the flat head screw driver in the bottom and twist the ball top off right? Well I’ve tried over and over, is there something wrong, or is it just me?
Yes. It’s probably extra stuck from madcatz putting it in. Possibly get a wider-headed screwdriver and something to get a bit of a better grip on the balltop. But, that is indeed what you do.
Thanx Guys. I am using the SE fight stick btw. Good to know it should be easy…lol…thanx again.
Thanks for the advice, I’ll try that when I get home
Question: is there any to extend the rod on my stick? I have large hands and its hard to grip the stick when in game… I have a hori ps3 real arcade pro 3.
thanks in advance…
I think it already comes with the SS mounting plate you can purchase from Lizard Lick… you might have to do some custom work on the shaft to extend it anymore than it is. I’m sure somebody has done it.
JLF Shaft Extended w/out shaft cover
JFL Shaft Extender w/ shaft cover
If person asking the question has truly monstrous hands then he might want to use more than 1. I would also recommend loctite up in here as the more parts you introduce into a stressed system the more likely they are to come apart during use.
I have a 360 TE all MC Cthulhu’d and RJ-45’d (big ups FlameIce for that) and last night my stick just stopped working.
Works fine on PS2, works fine on PC (in Cthulhu), but when using the MadCatz board, my PC couldn’t find it and if it felt like connecting to my 360 at all, it wouldn’t stay on long.
Am I looking at the BOGO sale online or is there something to be done here?
could be a short. take a look at the pcb to see if there are any wires that may have broken off. take good clear pics of the pcb if you cant find it and someone might be able to see something with the set up. Your explination isnt very detailed so there could be a shit ton of possibilities that happened to your dual mod.
I just bought a MAS stick from someone on here and it all works fine except for the P360… I’ve used the P360 joysticks and CTF and Happ comp at a random movie theater so I know it’s not me. I’m using a PS2 MAS with an InPin converter. I tried playing XvsSF, MvC2, and SSF4 and the full motions won’t come out. Dashing and doing the ROM is fine for now. Any help?
Hello, i recently been looking into changing the spring in my TE stick. I saw on youtube that there are recommendations for LS-56 spring - and it is what i have bought. Well, it dosent fit. I would the stick to be more tight. The standard is just to loose for me. I obtained some info from Joystick Controller - Joystick and Button Attributes and Brand Parts however i dont know which spring i should go for. Please, could you guys recommend me at least 2 springs i could go for.
Thanks,
Use any of them listed with Sanwa JLF, that is what you have. Many people like the JLF spring combined with the LS-33 spring.
a ls32 spring fits perfectly and is a little stiffer. you can also add ls32 and ls33 springs together which is even stiffer. they work well together in a jlf without binding.
Thanks alot! i will order them!
BYW, is there any Titorial how to paint the TE stick casing ? I would like to turn it to black.
I haven’t done it personally, so please understand if if I seem that I’m talking out of my ass. Cuz I am, but I’ll try to explain my logic as I go.
.
That slagcoin page says to use springs from LS-32, 33, 40, or 55. If I’m understanding this sentence right:
(LS-32 and LS-40 springs can go around and LS-33 and LS-55 springs can go inside along with the JLF spring)
I read that as ‘Springs from the -32 and -40 replace the existing spring, and springs from the 33 and 55 can replace or be used with the original JLF spring for extra force.’
Quick look at the pictures and the LS-33 spring just looks way too wimpy. So scratch 33 from the list. That leaves the -55 as the only one that ‘can go inside along with’, and you definitely want one of those as an option, so the -55 definitely goes into the ‘get it’ column.
Now, just need to pick one from either the -32 or -40. The chart on that Slagcoin page says that the springs are the same; LizardLick only has one of them, marked as the LS-32 spring.
So there you go. Get the LS-32 spring and the LS-55 spring, and try them out. Dont forget to try combinations of the LS-55+original and LS-55 + LS-32 springs if possible.
Toodles, i will get 3 of them. They wont cost me that much anyway. I will play around and see what turns out.
Anybody manage to take apart TE stick and re-painted it? there are many Tutorials and videos on YT but none i found shows how to take it apart and paint it the right way.

there are a lot of way’s for sure… just depends on how anal you want to be… or just take the top panel off, turbo gate, 24mm pushbuttons… cover the inside with painters tape as best as you can and go ape shit with the vinyl dye…
Many p360’s have problems with diagonals, and if that’s the problem you have, there is no fix except for replacing the stick.
The LS-55 spring on its own is perfect for me. It may be too tight for some. I highly recommend it.
