Get a small flat screwdriver to wedge off the Quick Disconnects.
Or use pliers to grip Quick Disconnect to pull off.

So I want to get more into stick modding and such, and I was wondering where a good place to start would be. I have a few extra sticks laying around that I can sacrifice to the cause. I have electronics experience so that’s not really an issue, I just need to get the ball rolling. Thanks.

So, I should grab this for the PCB?

Would this alone (as its the part that is damaged) make my stick able to function again, as well as providing functionality between both the PS3 and 360?

That’s my interpretation on it.

That would work

So just yesterday I was playing on SFxT Pro “Line” stick and out of no where the stick stopped working. Like, the buttons worked just fine, but I couldn’t move anything. Tried switch to Left Stick and Right Stick and then back to DP and nothing. Unplugged it, replugged it and it still wouldn’t work. After a while it started working again, and it just start doing it again, except now my D-Pad setting doesn’t work at all, and the Left Stick one will move me in game, but as you all know doesn’t work through the 360’s menus and things like that. Anyone got any clue on what to do?

Okay, so here is my issue. No current camera so i will try to convey through pics as well as i can.
I am currently trying to put the pcb from this stick into a TvC case:

I soldered all the buttons on and they work perfectly fine:

Well i soldered the stick on like so:

Well when i did that, i keep getting this issue.
The stick reads up, and down, and when i push left and right, it reads as up and down also.

Down: http://i.imgur.com/pHosV.jpg

Right: http://i.imgur.com/pHosV.jpg

Well i was following this diagram, even thought it’s not the exact same pcb, it’s very close so i thought it would work the same.

after messing around a while, i can’t seem to get any better than this:

If any help, this is the stick im trying to use as well:

The Mayflash 2009 and up PCB is not Common Ground.

Alright, thanks. Easy fix then. Just replaced the mircoswitches. Works fine now.

What size is the screw that goes in the extra hole by the turbo panel on the TE-S?

well, I think I’m just gonna go ahead and dual mod one of my 360 TEs, but can someone tell me what the most optimal method is these days? I’ve heard of TEasy, which seems to be less relevant now, and kitty, and I don’t know what that is. help me out!

any help?

how can i get the top off the brawl stick so i can clean the gunk off? i unscrewed the 5 screws on top and it comes up a little bit but doesn’t come off

There’s some glue holding the metal panel to the plastic, you should just be able to ease it off by pulling them apart.

So I’m having hardware problems with a Madcatz SE. When I bought it, it didn’t seem to work very well. It was basically capable of single quarter circle motions but anything more and it would start skipping inputs. So I decided to buy a new Sanwa stick and this made the issue far better, but it’s still there. In KoF13, when playing as Mia, I can’t super.

The motion is:
:qcb::db::qcf::k:

I can do this:
:qcb::hp::db::qcf::k: and it will trigger, but this requires drive meter.

I CAN do the super raw, but it requires inputting the motions extremely slowly, about a half second, it’s ridiculous. I’ve tried it on a friend’s TE and I can perform the super fine, so it’s not me.

Is it possible this is being caused by the circuit board? Seriously, it feels very off and I don’t enjoy playing the game on my stick.

Is the switch on LS instead of DP?

That makes a difference? Holy shit, I didn’t know that. My PS3 isn’t setup right now, I’ll start hooking it up and report back whether that helps.

EDIT: Oh my god, it fixed it, thank you thank you thank you.

Okay, this is going to be the newbest question there can ever be. But how do you get 4 fightsticks to play on a ps3 for SFXT? Especially if two are Tatsunoko, 1 a Madcatz TE, and the other a HORI UMVC3 stick. Do I just put in a generic usb hub and hopefully plug all that shit in to make it work? Or will it mess with the wiring of the ps3 itself?

That’s generally how USB works. The U stands for universal!

After getting both UMVC3 and SFXT for the 360 I’ve been itching to dual mod my PS3 MadCatz R2 TE. I have a wired 360 controller with a quirky left stick that I thought I’d use. I’ve been able to conclude that the controller I have is this one ( http://slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_diagrams/360_diagram1.jpg ), the late version. Now, there’s a lot of tutorials on how to dual mod and such, it’s generally confusing for a mod-newb like me I’d dare say. (though I’m not so much intimidated by the soldering itself as ‘what’ i should solder and in what order) So I have a couple questions.

 1. Is a dual mod possible with the pcb from the 360 controller I have?
 2. If so, is a dual mod possible with ONLY that and no custom stuff like Chimp or TEasy? (not including stuff like connectors and switches that you can easily get cheap from an electronics store)
 1. No
