About the offline delay!

This thread needs to be either destickied or have this link posted in the first post: 3S:OE Input Lag Testing

There is absolutely no input delay on the PS3 version hooked up to a CRT monitor. I played for 8 hours straight, red parrys, full parrys, charge partitions, you name it. It’s arcade perfect.

Haven’t played the Xbox version enough yet, but I’d be shocked if it wasn’t the same.

I have to ask, what is the optimal setting used to reduce input delay? How much input delay does hdmi and filtering induce? I didn’t notice much difference w/ my bad execution. D:

Also, is there a way to turn off the list of challenges on the left side of the screen? Drawing stuff that’s not game related on the screen is executing more instructions, and I don’t want that.

Thanks for the help,
Cong

Use game mode.

I don’t know about delay between xbox and ps3. Its iron galaxy, not capcom, so most likely they did it right, unlike sf4

I don’t have game mode on my TV.

If your TV has it, you can try turning “Noise Reduction” off. One TV I have has that and turning it from high to off felt like a big difference to me.

Until the update that lets you turn it off comes out, I think the only ways to disable that side bar are either change to view setting in the options to Stretch(or something like that) or to set your console to 4:3 before you launch the game.

they said they’re going to let you get rid of the challenges on the side (but there will still be the gray bar) when the patch comes out. playing on CRT gets rid of the bars complete of course.

Or you can just set the view to widescreen, if you can live with the streched out look.

If your TV has a VGA port get a VGA cable for your PS3 or Xbox on most TVs VGA has less input lag than HDMI, I got mine on ebay for like $10. On my TV when i play games on HDMI there is 34ms lag but on VGA it goes down to 12-14ms lag.
