okay so here are 2 vids of me during the vid94 tourny. i played like shit to be honest, i really did hate how the buttons and stuff felt since i couldnt really do much. against blanka i fucked up 3 ultra’s… i usually never miss this and this has been my first in a long time. anyways enough with the excuses hah but i really didnt like their buttons at that place. i had a few more vids but all of them except for like 4 or 5 got corrupted and only these 2 had me in it hah

eh im okay against sagats and i mean i dont get to practice against him since there are 0 sagat players at denjin (where i play). i mean there were a few factors in the way that lead to me not doing well. props to everyone who beat me though. oh well that place is just hard to get used to imo. i mean i had to press the buttons lightly if i was going into a ultra combo or else i would get something else. i mean a lot of things didnt come out when i wanted it too and its just another set up to get used too. i have to play there more to get used to it because when i went home i went to the arcade i usually play at and they dont have the problems where if you press all 3 punches you get FA or taunt or anything like that.

The Abel vs Sagat match-up is pretty ridiculous on Abel’s part. If the player has good experience and knows what to do against what, he doesn’t need to do much to beat Abel. He has so many things he can do to keep Abel away. He has roundhouse, uppercut, and throw to stop Abel’s roll. And if you cross him up he can uppercut you backwards. I mean that applies to everyone that has a shoryuken but I’d take Ryu’s srk over Sagat’s anyday. It’s one big guessing game, but if you guess wrong with a command throw or pretty much anything you eat a fat 50% combo (60% where i play). Only thing that Abel takes away from Sagat is his fireballs, he can’t carelessly throw fireballs or he’ll get a cmd throw or an ultra. You gotta have a good mix-up game to beat a good Sagat.
Oh yeah if you see that the Sagat likes to backdash your rushdowns, Falling sky his ass. It works, only character’s i’ve done it to are Sagat and Zangief granted they’re big characters.
it works on dhalsim too, you can falling sky when they back dash. im guessing you can do it to every character that kinda hops backwards while they backdash.
uh i would probably go with lp since it comes out faster i think. but im pretty sure as long as you do it EARLY then it doesnt matter. you pretty much have to guess it and catch them on the start up of their back dash.
