Your TT’s are really nice. Do you have to use the EX version after you hit them out of the air with j.mk?
You play Abel a lot like me (you’re better though). It seems we both have a lack of pressuring people. I tend to hang at mid range and look for openings.
I use a different version of TT after hitting them in the air depending on the character I’m facing. Most of the time however the first thing the other guy does on landing is start mashing on Jab to try and take control, especially Rog, Ken and Guile. So using EX TT with its hit invincibility is a great move to pull. It is so ingrained in a lot of people’s psyche that you can do it over and over sometimes.
Thanks for the advice, you’re right about the pressuring. I need to up my game in that department. More use of fwd.MK and blockstrings are in order I think. Also I’ll look into that crossunder after Air to Air, what is a good move to pull after that? c.MP xx CoD?
Edit: Also any matchups you guys want to see in particular? My cam is ready to go permanently now so let me know.
In that blanka match, I only saw you roll once. You also didnt use an EX move in the entire match. Sometimes it’s hard to remember to use all your tools when the opponent is applying so much pressure, but you could have gotten out of some of his shenanigans with an EX roll and that coulda thrown off his rythmn and turned the tide in your favor.
Also j.HP is your friend. That’ll beat blanka’s j.MK and j.FK air to air.
And what’s up with those HK wheel kicks you would throw out on his wake up? So easy to up ball those on reaction…
Here’s a totally biased, non-random sample of me looking good.

Looking back, I wasn’t really playing that great … I don’t usually jump around so much. But I wanted to post because it was my first good comeback, and I pulled off some of that Abel technology second round.
But enough self-analysis; I would be grateful for any other tips.
A related question … are Dhalsim’s flames considered projectiles?
Nice match reminds me of mine minus the technology and the comeback. I would falling sky every time I see sim nuetral jump from a half screen away because the j. fr is usually coming. It looks awesome because it’s like you grab his fist and he tries to retract it but ends up pulling himself towards you.
I would think that his flames are considered projectiles due to the projection of burning hurt.
I know i’m probably going to get flamed for the title of the vid but hey its was the only way to get myself on video and plus be4 that i didn’t get to play many people that often but hey what can u do lol

Any feedback would be good positive or negative to help me in prove my abel would be much appreciated thanx
1st match: im surprised you didnt do any focus attack, against dhalsim(you should use it more against sim to either get in or even get a crumple).
-you whiffed quite a number of “unintentional” skyfall ( my guess you were tryin to cancel into rekka but messed up the execution) but you were lucky not to be punished for it.
-there were times where you should’ve gone with a j.mk but you did a j.hp instead. too much cr.hp attempts, no TT followups/combos, no f.mk, no effective use of foil kick (especially the lk/ex version) to catch the jump happy dhalsim.
just my opinions (and its only of the 1st match, i saw the 2nd and you did great. id type more but i gtg for a meeting)
Mother fuckin comeback king right here. I love seeing Abels prosper. My badness caught a Sagat off guard earlier too, he beat my ass out of the semi’s, I ended up getting matched up with him again, I guess he thought I’d be afk(a free kill) again so I tornado threw his shit to the ground. Don’t fuck with Abel cause you will eat asphalt.
Chun Li I haven’t had much experience(been too damn busy fending off Akumas lately) shit I almost got killed by a shitty ass Chun, one you could plainly see they were attempting a spinning bird kick after a launch and is jump happy.
But Guile I’ve played a million times. From my experience, Guile must be pressured don’t let him sit back and build charge. Cross him up, roll to fuck up his charge but don’t jump at him unless it’s after a knockdown *but be careful of the flash kick, affectionately known as a “safe jump” because his air throw is a pain in the anoose. After a successful cross-up don’t let up, a good Guile uses a down back charge which means they will be flash kicking you as soon as you attempt a slow ass start up normal/special on him. What people suggest to stifle his flash kick is to roll again making him whiff it. Then punish as you see fit.
His ultra could be TT’d after the initial flash kick. Just pressure him before he gets to pressure you. His target combo is a pain, block low then high.
jumping in against guile when he’s down isnt really a safe jump, you can/will eat a flash kick unless you timed the jump properly or go for the cross up.
Sent you a friends request the other day. Really wanna play some matches with yourself and see how our Abels match up… Used to play CoD4 with the yahoo crew just incase you thought I was a random…
Not if you jump in the way I do j/p duly noted guess the Guile I play doesn’t have those capabilities, or I’ve eaten a few I don’t really recall too many lost brain cells.
VIC!!
BROTHA… all you need to do is play about 300 more games to clean up execution and blocking and then you need to get the able reka fdc pop up+ ultra down cold and you are ON elite status.
you are well above us average players id say.
