Ive seen a vid of an unblockable against sagat (havent tested it myself though), back throw, walk a step, whiff st.lp, j.mk (aim about the head/neck)

regarding a vid i posted earlier, so i was expecting a quick lk dive kick to hit infront, decided to do ex cod xx TT to punish, but the yun did a cross up dive kick instead and the ex cod autocorrect and cancelled into a fs instead.
its about time to get more consistent with armor cancelling moves. hehe

[details=Spoiler] I got 2nd place in a tourney recently “Final Roundbats Japan”. Lost to a Juri player I beat last time to get 1st place. Kinda like a salty runback, and he got his revenge. Anyway, I know they are just excuses but there were 3 different setups on that day and each with different lag/timing (be it due to the controller - the ps3 setup was using a ps2 hrap + converter, or the display monitors etc) I was kinda pissed (you can see in the first video before the tourney for AE starts, I hit the training mode and never managed to land even ONE step kick st.hp combo…)
I beat a T.Hawk, Cody and Dictator to get to the grandfinals. T.Hawk was kinda the toughest match since besides it being a tough matchup for abel, I was playing on the setup where earlier I couldnt land the step kick combo even once, so I played the match more towards bait and punish, and I was lucky the T.Hawk didnt change his playstyle, he never really did any scary okizeme stuff so I guess thats a bonus for me…
I played the Cody off stream, the Cody’s good but I just had too much experience in the matchup and I dare say I won that one convincingly, didnt lose a round iirc.
The Dictator was a problem, though again, due to the unstable setups, both of us dropped some important combos (esp the ones into ultra) and I managed to come on top.
By the time I played the Juri, I was kinda used to the timing, but still missed a few crucial links (that i usually never miss), won the first set pretty convincingly, kinda messed up the 2nd set, and just kinda lost my composure in the 3rd set. Watching the matches back, I couldnt believe how many times I did a really stupid jump ins, and too many FAs to my liking… then there were those execution errors and pressin buttons when I shouldnt be (even ate an ultra after a blocked step kick due to this lol)… Anyway, ive voiced my concerns to the organizers and hopefully they can make it so that every setup is the same… since I really dont like losing because of lag/random factors… especially at an OFFLINE event lol [/details]

yep, overhere where i live, the EXACT same thing happened to me at one of my local tournaments… paying money to lose due to something similar to lag is a spirit breaker… ps3 vs xbox is a problem but stacked on top of that were monitors… special LCD, High Deff, Super extreme, futuristic, gdlk, crispy, lagless, top of the line, alpha & omega monitors…
imo… these monitors are more trouble than they’re worth! Am i crazy for wanting to play on a regular old school component TV… iirc they never lag…:wow:

Nekojita = Best Abel ever, hands down
This guy did the impossible… He beat actually beat Tokido…with Abel.
Now, I’m not saying this match is impossible, it’s actually far from it… I’m saying that the Tokido match-up is impossible. I’ve actually never seen Tokido lose to an Abel…ever… and I used to think it just couldn’t be done.

nekojita was super sick at that tournament. that one round was nuts, he just went balls out and it paid off. it was too bad when he lost to Mago’s Fei… in AE2012 I have no doubt Nekojita would be able to take that one pretty handily haha. his Abel is pretty wicked, kinda reminds me of Shiro + AC Revenger. He plays really lame for awhile, but then when he gets in there he takes more risks with his mixup than Shiro ever did. that’s what reminds me of AC
AC is still a force though. he was playing people on stream earlier and doing pretty well.
I’ve actually seen Pikagoma beat Tokido… It’s online but still a loss to an Abel:
