so yeah just got back from ranbat… lost to tokido in the grandfinals, again n again but shit was mad close the first round, even perfected him one round( i was too focused that i only realized the perfect later).

oh btw tokido is so smart/cheap he found out an unblockable setup against ryu/ken lol… i cant give out any details because i promised him i wont tell anyone the details but yeah its proven to be unblockable and if you know its coming theres only one way to escape it and its risky + unable to really punish the gouki. he said even daigo proly dont know about that shit, hes saving that trick for him hahaha he was kinda salty that he lost to daigo at scr, he said that before that match he played daigo seven times and won all of their matches hahah salttttt

Lost to Tokido in semis(it was kinda ugly), and beat Scott Popular’s Rose to place 3rd.
I’m waiting for the latest vids(Nov’s ranbat) to be uploaded, I think I did well to beat a strong ken, rose and put up a stronger fight against tokido.
^awesome match against scott popular. I’ve been having lots of trouble with the rose matchup. any specific pointers against her? I tend to play it really defensively, but end up getting repeatedly crossed up, or backdashed against when being offensive.
were you going for lp cod>Ultra in the corner in the third round when fs came whiffed?

My advice against Rose, st.lk is really really good against her. As for backdash, OS sweep works (though i dont think i used it in that vid). As for crossups, block em? Or just dont allow them to get close/jump over. AA all of her jumps if possible.
My strategy is usually frustrates the rose with proper st.lk use + AA while workin on to get in either with a f.mk, or go through bad fireballs with either ex wheel kick, rolls or jump in or just focus dash to get closer, once youre in its not that hard to get the damage. After blocking the soul drill thing, do st.lk (will only lose to ex soul drill or ultra 2 i think)… as for her U2, just dont jump in when she has that, ex wheel kick can go through her orbs but if she blocked the kick you’ll get punished so use the move at your own risk.
…and yeah i messed up that corner ultra hehe (lp cod fadc ultra btw).
vs Rose i hate her fuckin c.mp, slide, st.mk, and U2. Drills are gay too cuz u cant always punish. I just try to make sure she cant backdash free and dont let her go once u get in.
I dont really have a problem against U2 that much anymore, its kinda like breathless, once you know your options/how to deal with the situation, its not so bad.
Ambiguous rolls on rose’s wake up will stop the backdashing, if you jump in on her option select a dash or a roll to stick with her or option select sweep for damage

such a long ass turtley match. my play was definitely not optimal either… for some reason never ticked into step kick, tried to bait scarlet terror too much, didn’t option select. Playing Blazgreen in double elim tournaments after working 10 hours and driving 400 miles is probably a bad idea.
I literally did facepalm during the match
