That’s pretty decent. Two things are really obvious though, you jump too much and you get thrown a lot in those matches. You don’t get punished for jumping in though, and we all have ‘those days’ when it comes to throws.
When Ryu puts you in a 50/50, try to do a late tech so that when he srks you block, but you would still tech a throw. Not unbeatable, but it’s better than guessing all the time. Work on your defense, with Abel as a character you need good defense as a player.
Keep trying to land that nasty link, most online Abel players have given up on trying to land that (and I can’t really blame them). If you don’t practise in game you won’t learn.

Btw Hfz what I really love to do is lp falling sky guy’s flying elbows and throws.
As soon as you hear them say ‘geezer’ pull that bugger out of the sky.
Do it early as the elbow drop only comes out when it is close to you so for the longest time they are in the air with nothing that can hit you.
You can also early falling sky their running overhead but your mostly guessing whether it’s the overhead or slide.

As for the running over head thing, id prefer blocking low and reacting to overhead, block it and punish with TT(dependin on range too, dont think can punish with TT if only blocked the last hit)…

Well you didn’t put him in any real mix up situations aside from a few tick tornado throws. Try some ambiguous rolls after untechable knockdowns. Get him thinking a lot more. Also you need to learn to punish a lot better I saw a few wiffed SRK’s punished with st. mp and some other things. Try doing a cr.hp into f.falling sky, or if he is to far cr.mk -> f.CoD. Work on your anti air normals at the end he jumped at you and you could have done a cr.hp into ultra and evened it back up a little bit.
DP punishes need to be better. Also jumping in on a grounded ryu with ultra, you got burned for it. were you trying to crouch tech at all at the end of the first round? also saw a whole ton of roll up throws, i wouldn’t try so many of those like that.
also, it looks like you need to beef up your net cause its too laggy for dsp
Me playing on xbox live against a Ken I usually have difficulty with. But in the second round I used standing HP and that through him off for the rest of the game

I’m more comfortable with step kick against characters who can’t crouch cl.fierce. I start to guess pretty hard after landed step kick as opposed to confirming it, on characters who can crouch it. You know when you catch a Ryu low forward, or Chun sweep? Well, since you can’t combo into cl.fierce from that, I just guess again like it was blocked. But sometimes I can see if they’re standing, but only on whiff punish.
With that said I could use some pointers, as I’m trying to make Abel my main guy.
