though im really curious whether is it possible to cross up TWICE after knockdown because if not then its not a crossup problem but simply mindgames, a wake up ex TT would’ve solved that

I’m pretty sure taison uses jumping fierce but you guys are right, he also backs up. I think jumping fierce is a good option since they look somewhat similar and if he took a step back the fierce would reach out further (where his glove would be without backing up and using jumping roundhouse). so if you’re not looking at the bend in his arm then you get mind fucked
i just went into training mode, and its pretty much like the headbutt headbutt shenanigans that balrog can do. if you tech the fall balrog will cross you up, regardless if you did tech or not the first time he does jump forward rh he will cross up because he is that close. now if you dont tech the fall and he walks back and does the rh again it will almost never cross up. he can do it to cross up but it wont be ambiguous because he will already be on the floor when you are rising up so that if he did a move (jab) it will whiff before you get up. now if you did tech the fall and he tries the walk back jump rh its just a random jump in that you can anti air.

Clearly this Ryu knew his match. Although not the best Abel out there, what was this Abel doing wrong from a general point of view? Is this one of those “patient Ryu’s” that HAV talks about in his matchup thread? Trying to learn from other people’s mistakes…
