He only cares about the consequences of Aris’s behavior because of the negative consequences that may befall on him, not the communities. He sits there playing video games with a bunch of known players, he knows that this can turn into big bucks. Of course he is going to get all pissy pissy because Aris is behaving like that. That behavior turns off sponsors, which means that the opportunity for him to make bank by doing nothing diminishes greatly.
This applies to a lot of you people who also stand by Jared? side. You really don’t care, all you care about is the image because you know that image matters to outsiders who are willing to shit money on the scene for free.

This isn’t the only instance of seeing this shit either so don’t think these are isolated incidents. I and many others have seen way way way too many people who mention being a fan of fighters, going to some event run by this shitty community, and after that either swearing off fighting games, or preferring to go play that shit alone/online with their friends. There’s a reason that happens, and it isn’t because “everyone but us are soft skinned pussies”. Most normal well adjusted people aren’t comfortable hearing racial slurs and misogyny all over the place. Most normal people aren’t comfortable with dudes being extremely insulting towards their gfs/sisters or flat out trying to molest them and shit. Way too many girls saying they did NOT feel safe at these events and worried about shit like assault. Too many guys saying they did not like the whole “it’s ok to spew racial slurs/threats of violence” like it’s no big deal.

To me the word “bitch” has just been like “bastard”. It isnt like people who use bastard as a curse word actually look down on those people. It is just a word that expresses a sense of anger and has a certain sound to it. I’ve heard guys get called bitches a lot and not as some sort of “you’re a pussy” thing or something. Anyways, misogyny is the one BIG tolerance problem this culture has, and it'd be way better if people just faced it. A ton of women in the culture have talked about this, about the grabby hands and the constant harassment... hell, we see it every day, and the shit women get is *different* and *worse*. It's not like the occasional use of 'gay' or occasional edgy racial talk. Gays and and people of various races are totally accepted and don't meet serious hostility.
This is absolutely not true for women. Excepting the Uncle Tom, every woman who's spoken up has had just horror stories of harassment and grabby hands. What's more, we see the outright hostility on stream, in stream chat, in these forums, everywhere. The community is open and accepting.... except to women.

It pretty much is. You have to realize it’s all fun and games. Also, misogyny is something I’ve never experienced in my whole 2 years in the FGC. I’ve been to a lot of tournaments where girls attended to participate or just cheer their boyfriends on and no case of this happening. Racial slurs are very rare, and are generally only used between people who are very close as a term of endearment. No one I didn’t personally know and chilled with has ever called me by a racial slur so far. And at this point, is nigga even a racial slur?
This is the problem with people who don’t know shit about the FGC, they base things off stream monsters who are not actively part of the FGC. This was a one off event which really doesn’t represent the FGC at all.
