the FGC is weird because its in generally extremely accepting to all groups-- except to women.

The driving community is also generally is bias towards women as well.

Fine, can we agree then that its always unacceptable? (I’d still argue that the FGC is worse, but it’s not actually something that we have statistics about, so lets just say its something that needs to be stamped out wherever it happens)

Dude, you just have to pay attention to see the difference. People don’t say Floe is a fraud because he’s fat, or that Ricky Ortiz is a fraud because he’s gay, or that Noel Brown is a fraud because he’s black.

There’s a whole different level of hostility.

Well let’s take American comic-book fandom for a second.

It’s a fanbase that’s generally hostile towards women due to the depiction of female characters being “objectified” by wearing a skimpy costume or some other shit that makes them look sexy.

A most recent example of comic books alienating women is the remake of the Teen Titans. If you don’t know what’s going on in the new comics, Star Fire turned into a sex-crazed, but much more intelligent, alien being. A lot of female fans bitched about the recent change, thus creating a small stir within the community.

The biggest problem is that people pay too much attention to superficial things like: gender, race, status, etc. We are all one in a cosmic energy within the universe, animals, trees, and aliens alike. Racing mostly but normal daily driving also falls into this category

and all these are just typical stereotype comments that can simply be shot down with action and results, which is how all minorities “earn” their respect. Is it “right” I personally don’t really think so but everyone is guilty with stereotype comments/ideas so I would say its acceptable, on the basis that everyone is guilty of it.

I’m paying attention, and reading stuff like this, http://www.twitlonger.com/show/g7543k, and looking at all the tournaments where people like Sherry, Nina, Yipe’s girl, CONSISTENTLY attend, and knowing the girls from my scene and other scenes i’ve interacted with at tournaments and casuals, it seems like you have a very narrow view of how women are treated in the FGC and any evidence that goes against your view, you immediately dismiss it with some snarky comments like the one you made about Sherry.
