<blockquote>I have a video showing a combo extension using bolts as well as some ideas for using it for mixups</blockquote>
Thank you! That helps get the wheels turning. I like that backdash 2m+bolts, laser, laster 6C. Hopefully I can find some sort of jamming bomb setup. I also enjoyed those battering ram mixups. :stuck_out_tongue:

My entire neutral game now is pretty much bolts with grounded airdash to put a roof over their head and force them towards the corner. So far I’m loving it. I’m finding grounded airdash uf with a light laser + bolts brings jumpers back down right where you want them.

Dat Caveman non-XF infinite. As long as f.H, jump, addf, f.H doesn’t continually cause the opponent to float down, it should be an infinite. Even if it does, it probably goes on for a very long time.

Well, I think you guys just solved the damage problems on my team.

Okay so I’m lazy and this new forum is making it hard for me to find shit.<br>What’s an optimum combo for Modok/Dorm/Doom off a jumping S?<br><br>I’m starting to have faith in my team again (despite my horrible execution)<br>

Off of a raw j.S: j.S, dash, cr.M, cr.H, IAD j.M, cr.H, IAD j.M, S, j.MMHS, dash in, cr.M, fly, j.H, addf, S, j.H, L blaster, addf, j.S, back dash + dark hole, cr.M, L blaster, cr.M, f.H, L bomb, call missiles, f.H, jump, addf, S, j.L, M bomb, L blaster, add(f), j.S, cr.M, L blaster, HBR, Stalking Flare

That’s hella involved lol, uhm how about something that will kill wesker that’s a little less fickle<br>

Then just cut back on parts of the combo. IE take out one of the iad jM, cr H reps, and maybe change the ender a bit to end in chaotic flame instead of stalking flare.

Hahaha, guess I should have bolded lazy, okay I’ll try this but I don’t get it after f.H light bomb, never tried to call missiles there. Is this in one of your videos? Okay I think I get it, f+H cancel the recovery with jump so you can S and do the baby kick stuff right?<br>

You can probably only use one assist with a simpler version of that combo and it will kill wesker after the DHC.

J.s-> launch-> relaunch-> assist extension-> ender w/o ground bounce (f+h, l bomb, f+h, m blaster, hbr dhc whatever) should net you around a million with only one assist as long as the combo isnt too bare bones.

Yep. It looks exactly the same as the ender I usually go with if I do have a groundbounce to work with (f.H, L bomb, f.H, IAD j.S, </span><i style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”>back dash + missiles, f.H, jump, addf, S</i><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>, j.L, etc). When you don’t have the groundbounce, you don’t want to back dash after L bomb, so you just call missiles before f.H.</span></font><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”><br></div><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”>If you want a visual, it’s at 2:20 in the video.</div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKxFKXfWWXo</span></font><br></div>

Very similar to LTPs except he even uses the ADDU on a down TAC. anyone have notation for these? are these to be considered more consistent on the cast? </span></font></div>

Do you play on stick or pad? On 360 pad, I wavedash backwards fast by holding back on the dpad and alternate flicking the analog stick down and my right trigger (L+M).<div><br></div><div>I watched most of that stream live. Online is so painful to watch.</div>

I use stick, but i dont understand how people can do this so quickly. I always get like random super or something coming out. That’s why i’ve been plinking. plinking covers much greater distance but is harder to control. I really would like some back wavedashing skills to help with my spacing. <div><br></div><div>Also, what do you think about the TACs he used? think they are more consistent/universal than the ones that go: down TAC M cube, LM H cube, M, plink fly H cube, [M, H cube] x3 etc?</div>

I can’t plink well, so I stick to wavedashing. It’s good enough for me.<div><br></div><div>They’re fine. I don’t quite remember them, but they got 9 cubes, and that’s all you really need to know. I just do what I do because it’s fairly optimized and it’s easy for me to do. Though, I do use a different side TAC now (stolen from El Gato): cross up j.H, L cube, j.L, L cube, j.LM, aduf, j.LM, fly, j.M, H cube, etc. I’m pretty sure the aduf j.LM addition makes it easier/more consistent to land j.LS at the end of the TAC combo.</div>

<font face=“Arial, Verdana”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Man, Moons’ MODOK has really leveled up! Thanks for linking those streams. He is looking really good and I hope he keeps on using that team. Made me start playing around with his team a bit and i’m liking it. I have always wanted to play MODOK/coldstar but I am too garbage with Ammy.</span></font><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; line-height: normal;”><br></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>As for the plink dashing/wave dashing, it doesnt matter which one you use as long as you are comfortable with it and can move around the screen quickly. If you cant move you will get put in bad spots really quickly and MODOK is already at a disadvantage due to his size. Personally, I used to only wavedash but I had trouble backwards wavedashing on P2 side and would get random supers as well if I wasnt careful. I think plink dashing is waaay easier and faster and I use the H~L+M method for the best results since I use L+M to dash normally. However, wavedashing is great because you can randomly block during the crouch cancel. Definitely something worth practicing each time you touch the game, either way.</span></font></div>

Plinkg has a lot of benefits through. <br><br>1.  MODOK can hide his standing H, and still able to grab people. <br>2. It allows him to double ground dash much better. <br>3. Fastest to get across for MODOK on the ground. <br><br>Plinking is hard to do those, and you do need to practice it before you get good at it. <br>

Great vid!  This matchup makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes so it is nice to see what options MODOK has to beat Strider.  I am surprised to see that Orbs and especially Legion fail to go through the barrier.  I thought it loses to all of the game’s hypers.  Are there any other hypers that Barrier beats?  Anyway, I am new to posting on this forum but I have been watching your vids for quite some time I appreciate all you put up.  I’ve learned almost everything I know about this character from your vids

gah double post sorry about that
