I’ve been seeing a lot of random numbers being thrown around in this thread.
I haven’t seen any solid evidence that geneijin was nerf or red focus being single damage scaling instead of double.
I do apologize, my numbers may be off. Regardless the dmg/stun of the red focus combo is not bad. I’m willing to have the trade off of 40-60 dmg from geneijin combo for all the stun included in the red focus combo. I will test more things and see if I can find better things.
I saw the damage yun did on yang with ultra 1 with red focus it looked crazy good and easy.http://www.twitch.tv/kenb0gard/b/519808551 8:20 looking forward to ultra yun. Fei long & seth look different also lol.
When I talked about it a couple of months ago, I thought red focus only counted as 1 hit. That’s what Dawgtanian said, but it’s been confirmed to count as 2 like regular focus. But still this is the kind of damage we’d be looking at with Yun in the future
st. MP, LP shoulder, EX RF, Ultra 1= 464 damage
st. MP, LP shoulder, EX RF, EX palm, LP shoulder, HP lunge = 421 damage/730 stun
Yun players will have to start considering dumping Super for EX red focus combos. The EX palm combo would be a great way to start off a round if you already have super stocked. After that you’re basically one successful dive kick combo or command grab away from a stun.
It certainly won’t be dead, but i think for maximum damage it seems like you’re going to want to use RFC.
It may entirely boil down positioning, how close they are to the corner, can you maximize GJ damage with kara palms etc…
It depends on the situation and how much meter you have I guess. This is how I’m thinking I would use them right now.
Opponent has half life and you have full bar and ultra: Super into Ultra for max damage and try to finish them with the reset if he’s/she’s not dead yet.
To start a round or make a comeback with full super and ultra: Hit confirm into EX RF, follow up with ex palm combo and try to go for the stun. Save ultra for stun if you get the stun.
Opponent has half life or is nearly dead and you have 3 bars and ultra: Hit confirm into EX RF and finish with ultra.
Aside from upper body invincibility loss weren’t the HK upkicks airborne from frame 7 in AE 2012 anyway? So why mention that in the change list if it is still the same…
Still don’t understand why it wouldn’t be like that in 2012. Rufus get’s instant air divekick and he can’t be focused out of his divekicks (at least one of them I think). Seems only fair for Yun who relies on his divekick to have it not be FA-ble.
cause Capcom listens more to the people complaining over the Competitive players. They’re quick to nerf something without even researching on Why people want the nerf
