CVS2
I went there today and played someone on CVS2. He used Rolento and some other people. Last time I played at Westfield Tilt was like in Feb of 2002. I picked N-groove Iori, Yamazaki, and Rugal. Needless to say that the joysticks suckā¦ I couldnāt even get the Yamaās standing grab super out. On Friday Iām gonna check out the New Park Mall one in Newark, or maybe Iāll just go to MGL.

I will not say anything about the CvS2 controls. Sometimes they work well and other times you just want to kill the controls entirely. The mystery of the Ying/Yang balance. Some of the 707 players that are using K-groove have gotten better to where you have to be careful as to what your doing.
I was there christmas shoppping last week, and I got to play cvs2 for a bout 15 minutes. Lets just say, the controls better be fixed for the tournament.
and the mvc2 controls too, i was about to destroy the whole cabinet just a little while ago:mad:

MvC2 controls are just not there man. At least I can still do Iron Man infinite but pulling off supers have become a big problem including triangle dash.
Complaints

Can you be more specific? Have you bothered to ask one of the attendants for assistance? Do we have to read your mind or happen upon your complaint online? Can you bag us some more for not knowing there is a problem?
When no one speaks up, listen cause this is important, WE CAN"T FIX A PROBLEM WE DON"T KNOW EXISTS. At least, this is the first time Iāve heard of it. I will look into it tomorrow.

Complaints
The last time i was there I told George about the problems on both CVS2 and MVC2. He āattemptedā to fix the MVC2 sticks and buttons by wiggling the wires a bit. As we all know, thats a short short fix if thats what you could even call it. The problems on MVC2 are:
āsticks do not always register neutral when doing quick motions (both 1p and 2p)
āon 1p, the lp, fp, and assist 2 are iffy. Feels like a short in the wiring
āon 2p, the fp, fk, and assist 2 are iffy. Feels like a short in the wiring
āI noticed that on both sides when doing fast triangle jumps, the down-left (if character is facing right on 1p, left on 2p) does not always register
āMaybe all cherry switches should be changed to brand new ones when the wiring is checked
Now about CVS2:
āThe sticks in general are horribleā¦
āThey feel like old 4-ways, as compared to MVC2ās 360ās
āThe motions on both sticks feels clunky and a lot shorter than normal, and find it hard to differentiate between a normal jump, super jump, and low jump
āThe buttons themselves are decent at best, and again, please change all cherry switches to brand new ones

New Park Mall
MAn I went to New Park Mall off Newark off 880. I used K groove, Vega (1), Bison (1), and Honda (2). I got like a 10 win streak before i got beatā¦
Anyways, I donāt know if that says muchā¦
Iāve never went down to that Tilt arcade before so I wouldnāt know about the average competition level. But I heard that the competition there is better then the one at the Fairfield Tilt.
Then you have SVGL on Fri/Sat.
I think smash bros is a go for this tournament. This is gonna be the first smash tourney at an arcade in norcal(I think).
Btw someone should make a post about the tourney.

:lol: Hardly anyone plays mvc2 however I still know the basics of IM infinite which Iām suprised I even remember how it was done.

Iām usually the one that wears the Reno jacket or sometimes wear the Haohmaru shirt. I used to play competitively a long time ago alongside learning with Spider-Dan but nowadays I only play a little bit to enjoy the games.
Actually, I got ahead of myself there. They vallejo crew of smash bros have to agree that they pretty much have to bring everything except table and chairs. If they decide to do that, then theyāll probably come to tilt and run the tournament. I apologize to any vallejo player that saw that message earlier. btw, sorry if I screwed up anywhere iām typing this on a dc.
