LOL In that case I gotta start visiting this thread more often for info like this!
I got a funny replay the other day where I air-taunt over Adon’s anti-air ultra in full the whole way up. It’s too hilarious.

Any way to post it? :bgrin:
I don’t know what’s going on, but basically since the release of Super, I’ve been in the zone. I just had a 36 game win streak come to an end, I’m racking up dizzies and perfects at an alarming rate (my current replay uploaded is a double perfect on a Balrog), the Dan rushdown is going flawlessly, and I’m finding time in the middle of it all to tauntterrupt in silly fashion. I’m up to B rank in BP for Dan, #1 on that leaderboard, and I’m in the top 200 for overall Player Points. A lot of that has to be due to facing more newer players, and people who are trying to learn new characters, but it’s still worrying me a little. I should not have an 83% win rate. I’m playing Dan. And yet I do, and I embrace the Saikyo, and it embraces me in return.
I shudder to think what will happen once I actually learn to KRK > FADC > Ultra.
I need to check out your replays to see what I’m doing wrong. I usually get stuck in throw resets once I’m close. I’ve been getting a ton of close matches when I lose. I have been winning with Dan more than normal however.
If you’re on SSF4 on 360 I can invite you to watch it. Otherwise you’ll have to wait till my hard drive is fixed so I can edit a copy for youtube.
I saved a replay on PSN with Dan vs. Makoto, in which Saikyo is the superior style. I’ll youtube it, I’m not sure how to direct it with the game, unless you guys can look me up or something. I have that with some close Dan matches as well.
(and a Juri one, where I pull a cluthc Divekick to Ultra II for the win).
Yeah, I main Juri now. Sorry guys.
I also have a hilarious match vs a Guy on XBL. I’ll upload it to youtube as well. The quality will be shitty, as I have to hold a camera and record it to do that.
i hate to be a buzz kill but…don’t get too hype over your victories for now guys. i’m drowning in the free wins. but hopefully it will even out soon.
Way to go! I’ll try and snag that replay :bgrin:
One of Dan’s new winning quotes something like, “I won! For a moment there I thought I was going to lose… who am I kidding, I knew it.” Doesn’t really sound like Dan :looney:
Aye, I could do that if we’re ever on at the same time :bgrin:
lol my first fei long ssf4 match:
“Come at me from whatever direction you–”
“KNEE OF JUSTICE IN YA DOME BITCH!!!”
K-O!
Knee to the face is one of the most satisfying ways to win I find :bgrin:
WTF shitty replay channel won’t let me even see my friends new replays, what a load of crap! Only way I’ll be able to snatch friend replays is if we’re both on at the same time >.<
I honestly think Makoto is going to be a better matchup for Dan. LK Danku is gdlk.
By all means, be a buzzkill. I’m not trying to brag, and I certainly don’t expect it to last. I’m just enjoying it while it’s happening. I have no delusions of grandeur. At least, no more than expected from a Dan player.
That’ll come eventually, I can usually pop back from work for a little bit in the afternoon (your evening). I’ll try to make sure I save interesting games in my Battle Log in preparation for that, so that even if the game doesn’t get an official replay it can still get some attention anyway.
haha i know you well enough to know you’re down to earth. it’s just some of the newer or more forgetful guys might not remember the beginning of sf4…aka where i got my 64 win streak with abel. just want to keep them grounded for when the wins are harder to come by.
EX overhead at the right time will beat danku but without meter shes kind of fray…haven’t played enough yet to be sure
Yeah, just make sure to save the good ones so I can snatch them at a later date
Also, bloody hell chaps! I’ve been scouring the replays desperately searching for a replay of a good new character and all I find is a bunch of scrubby shit spamming specials. How thoroughly disappointing, everyone round to the pub for a pint.</Dudley>
Random: Haoh Gadouken vs Yoga Catastrophe = Double KO! The Yoga Catastrophe is so slow Dan ends up flying back into it
In case you guys haven’t got Dan’s red title yet (complete Arcade mode with him on Hardest) it says “Legendary Joke”, which is kinda funny considering Sakura’s is “Legendary Schoolgirl”, they’re both legends in their own rights
Edit: Actually I think every red title begins with “Legendary”, makes them less special methinks
Ugh.
I bought a Round 2 TE stick gaiz. It was marked down at my local EBGames…
I feel kinda dirty, but I avoided the bottom of the hole completely because I commandeered my brother’s Xbox since he’s gone working.
Keyboard to Stick. PC to XBL. I’m gonna grind this shit out. Watch out, Mao. In a couple months… I’ll have this whole stick garbage figured out… then we’re having a showdown…
WHO’S THE BEST CANADIAN DAN ON XBL?!
EDIT… Two hours later… : Sweet Jesus. How do you people use these contraptions? I’ve definitely got my work cut out for me… I can totally cancel into slow-arse normals. Anything faster than 6 frames is almost beyond me doing consistently. I’ve started taking all 35 characters into Trial Mode. XD
you can do it! Bite his fucking head off!
I still make plenty of input errors after over a year of playing on stick
Yeah. It’s going to take me another 700 hours of playtime to get even close to my execution level on a board. I do love being able to churn 720s with Gief, Hakan and T.Hawk all willy-nilly, though.
I’ve mostly topped out my keyboard execution… so stick is probably a good thing to learn. I’ll be getting into BlazBlue once it drops on the PC, aswell.
The gate on the TE is a bit tight, though. I end up hitting :d::r: instead of :qcf: a lot. Do people widen it?
I’ve seen a tutorial about making the shaft wider (with tape) so it hits the switches easier I guess. I have an octagonal gate as opposed to the standard square gate as I was having that same problem. I tend to “push” the stick to either side (from the down position) when making quarter circle motions, if you do it too fast on a square hate you’ll miss that diagonal but on an octagonal gate it works quite well. You’ll have to consciously roll your hand around rather than simply “pushing” it to make sure you get in those diagonals.
I can imagine Dan blasting Ted Nugent or Boston and the likes in his dojo. And it is gdlk.
