Fei Leung: Super Turbo, Old Sagat is the toppest tier character because he’s ridiculously easy to use. No skill needed! Chun Li can look really scrubby and at times is sorta but she takes skill unlike Sagat. Guile is really high skill even though he can make it look easy. I’d say O.Sagat, Vega, Dhalsim and Balrog are like the main guys to really fear. Akuma’s #1 if you count him.

CVS2 I’d def. agree to ban lame characters ut the game’s too new for that. And only Japan has had the honor to have even semi-official ‘bans’.

Tao - Storm doens’t seem that great but the runaway style is really unmanly. MSP would be gone but MIP takes more skill and would be kinda the same thing haha. I mean, in the end, Marvel is still a joke game but it’s a crowd pleaser unlike CVS. People love to watch Magnus skate like the Oilers in the old days. Sentinel is now officialy the least exciting character. Let Ironman be the new Sentinel, at least he has a million bad fights. Dhalsim can be the new Storm and plenty of characters rape his ass.

Tao your Sentinel is basically as good as anyone’s since you’ve been trained by Seattle but you don’t do the fast fly combos to full potential like Kyle does. Anyways I don’t mean disrespect to the people who’ve always used Sent either I mean it takes a long time to master a character and it’s worth it in the end. I just think in my opinion once you’ve seen all the unfly patterns and combos and especially unblockables, it just seems boring and outlines how utterly impossible it is for SO many characters to beat that strategy. Magneto can do even better damage that Sent but Mag just doens’t have that kind of matchup dominance that Sent does. Mag loses to so many guys like you say. Megaman. Dhalsim. Colossus. He can lose bad to Ironman, Cyclops, Doom, etc… Cable as well, he’s got shit matchups too against a lot of lowtiers. Game would just have like 10x more competitive teams and variety only taking out 2 characters. One of which I say is just totally lame (Storm) and other is slick but too good (sent)

i’ve been using sentinel ever since i met tao and the rest of the gang. i still find him entertaining because i’m still learning how to use him effectively. my sentinel is pretty rough around the edges.

but yeah it does get repetitive with the stomping patterns and whatnot. i use him cause i want to win!! :slight_smile:

but yeah a low tier matchup sounds cool! haha i remember playing gino at his place with just low tiers. they’re pretty good for laughs and a ton of “wtf”'s

of course i’ll be using my omega red team :slight_smile: (plus megaman and ken).

and haha iron man and dr. doom are top tier aren’t they? and tron and psy are top tier assists! plus top tier guard break! too good.

I play CVS2, and 3S mainly. I’m not very good though. I play KOF from time to time too. I don’t play Marvel or GGXX that much. I tried SVC but I don’t like it that much anymore. CVS2 is much better imo. I’d like to play more often. Playing CPU at home just isn’t fun after a while.

Sent is the bomb shit! I’m not a big fan of Storm, but I will give credit where it’s due, because she is the most balanced character in the game. On paper, Storm isn’t supposed to have any bad matches, but clops supposedly gives her trouble cuz of those damn overprioritized hard kicks.

Magneto has way too many bad matches. Megaman/Doom will eat up Magneto for free. As does Dhalsim. Basically anyone/(STRONG ASSIST) like doom, tron, commando, sent CAN give Magneto a hard time. The upside to playing him is he’s extremley fun to play and watch.

Chris: I disagree. I think Blackheart is the least exciting character to watch. And the Oilers of the old days were unstoppable… I mean Gretzky was fucking GODLY. Add in Messier, Coffey, Kuri and whoever else… Nobody else in the NHL will score 200+ points in a season like the great one.

As for low tier madness, I think it’s a good idea for everyone. Playing low tiers improves your general gameplay because you learn priority and hit boxes a lot better.

But sadly, Sentinel is now a tournament STAPLE if you want to come remotley close to winning. Iron Man and Dhalsim put together and add SUPER ARMOR is Sent. Storm would be sorta like Magneto and Cyclops put together (without the beauty of gene splice). Low tiers in MvC2 ARE fun though.

Long live MvC2 and it’s eternal playability… that shit is way too bomb.

Playing top tiers against low tiers tends to open you up more than you would if you were up against the top four… mainly because you’d try shit you normally wouldn’t try.

Storm is awful to watch if she’s not rushing down. Sent is usually pretty fun… especially if you’re doing fast flys, double rp combos, whatever.

I think I might be able to make it to RPM next friday.
