i know that patrick and parniel, each time they see each other, they play a race to ten wins… and are keeping track… they’re nearly playing as many games as you vs scott but you vs scott is much more casual, so i think they’re still also trying to improve
i think the team tourney would be HELLA CRAZY and like all close and shit, but uhhhh, lol ponti and tony BOTH sound interested!!!

the 2 completley different sticks fucks up that idea…
even if you pull something out of your ass like “oh, u like this side and they like that side” - the joysticks aren’t even close to perfect.
and race to ten isn’t even close to what me and scott play… even if they played race to ten everyday for a week, thats still not even close… they’re off by like atleast 400 matches
none the less, I think it’s a great idea… if only British Columbia had a decent fucking arcade that was only .25/game… everywhere in the states is like that, why does Canada have to be so gay?

it’ll probably have to be at JZ, since RPM may be out of the way for some (patrick, parneil, etc). I’m not sure how many will show up to RPM, but it’s only 25 cents there and the sticks aren’t bad.
let’s put like a small pot ($1 each player) to give the playas motivation, we don’t want to be putting team tao through university (haha). or we can eliminate the pot and do pay as you play, which also gives each player motivation to play their best.
let’s pick a day, and a time, where most of us can show up. If someone doesn’t have a team, we’ll just put you into a team and try and balance things out.
Any day this week but friday for me.
team tourney sounds hella fun. here are the teams that i THINK should be up there:
- ATM (alvin, tao, mark)
- team jz’s (parniel, patrick and jae?)
- old-skool team bc (kyle, scott and xxx)
- team tony
- team hero (redtide, me and whoever lol)
i don’t really know, but that’s just some ideas. team ATM will be the big bad boss, while team hero makes their way up the ladder to take the evil monster down.

As for team Hero, I have a friend coming back from Waterloo who plays as good (or as bad, depending on how you see it) as I do.
Buttons are dodgy at JZ’s so that’s a no-no in my book.

We don’t have enough teams for a tourney bracket, so we’ll have to run a round robin ANYWAYS.
We’ll be needing a good third member though, I don’t care about anything else but beating ATM. And in team tourneys, anything is possible.
You could always have Allan on your team. I think that’s the only other ‘decent’ player left, except for maybe Chris F, but I don’t think he plays Marvel much anyway.

i was there today and the first player side has a fucked up dash with a sticky roundhouse… like it’s fine when you’re just pressing the buttons but like pressing more than one button just seems to not work
second player joystick lol like you can’t wavedash, it only goes diagonally backwards or something if you’re on the left side… and something’s just not right with the buttons either…
RPM has COMPLETE japanese style cabinet and the buttons and joystick is hella close together
after about 15 games or so, you should be almost able to play on your full power cuz the buttons and joysticks are actually good. but i doubt the JZ guys wanna take the time and money to sit down and master the jap stick…
i think someone’s house would be best… i dunno, just what i think… JZ is ALRIGHT for a casual thing… it’d be prettty fun you know what i mean? but like, just the fact that the controllers aren’t the same, and you can’t really rely on either of them is hella gay…
anyone been to circuit circus lately? i wonder if like… theirs is alright, cuz if they have perfect controllers, why not go there for a team tourney?
and i agree with ponti, aside from the three posters at JZ, only allan is the OTHER good player left… but he can almost never beat parniel cuz of that cheapass blackheart
jae is inconsistent while patrick is pure consistency and parniel isn’t very either
kyle is definitely up there too and scott is just legendary, but they lack a third… allan WOULD work but he’s really unconsistent and almost always loses to the other guys… i’m thinking… MARK? cuz he’s as old school as it gets… only thing is, rumour has it that he beats jae 4-1… parniel 4-1 and patrick i think even… lol
