and did you guys not read what i said about giving ME odds? come on!!! if you’re running your mouth, you should give your opponent odds! it’s only fair! how confident is he? i’m confident enough to give 10-1 odds in mvc2 when i go down to edmonton, why not give me an advantage? if i get 5 wins before his 10, count me in as the winner!
OR, maybe he’d like to not act so fucking cocky (i mean, it’s okay if he’s known me and chilled with me hella times, i don’t care if kyle or gumby get cocky with me) but since we DON"T know each other, i have been careful to be respectful, while he clearly has not. normal odds are fine with me, but when someone’s clearly confident about his position, he should give his opponent odds. one of the advantages of false respect. that way, you don’t have to give your opponent odds.
anyways, tariq, double or nothing means that it’s a rematch for another $20, making the loser pay $40 in total, doubling the original bet. OR, it makes the loser of the first set break even therefore the term “or nothing”. it doesn’t mean the guy loses $60. if that were the case, then he would say “let’s bet $40 this time”
finally, a word to mazduk, playing with your system and with stupid japanese sticks will not result in random excuses from me if i lose. i am accepting to play on the DC and on japanese sticks so i’m not gonna be a pussy about it and complain afterwards. so don’t worry about me not trying my hardest, i’ll try my hardest so long as my controllers respond to my every move. however, considering that the only place you’ll get to play third strike on japanese cabinets will be japan… perhaps it is a good time to either invest in an american joystick, or come out to johnny zee’s more often. if i were preparing for a japanese tournament, i would practice on japanese sticks. however, since the next few tournaments you’ll attend will most likely be held on american sticks, complaining about them and ultimately not attending sounds illogical doesn’t it? why not just try to adapt?
alvin: lol i dunno who you heard from, but imo samB IS a killer. i got raped pretty bad in our stupid lil team tourney though hahaha but at the tournament, i did get raped when i used ken. however, our money match was close at 4-3 for me. maybe you heard it from UBC jay. cuz that guy over exaggerates everything lol and also our tournament match where i lost was 2-1 with the last two games close.
kyle: although you’re not going to edmonton anymore, i think it’s imperative that i get excessive mvc2 training for the tournament. and i am willing to commute to your house once all your provincials are over.
anyways tariq/mazduk: tomorrow i might go to burnaby and work out. if you guys plan on playing (not at rush, it’s not a good idea to play before a money bet), give me at least one day’s notice. so if you wanna play on thursday, call me tomorrow afternoon like at 1 or 2. but make sure you tell me what kind of controller you have. cuz i absolutely refuse to play on the agetek (the green button and knob controller). if that’s what you have, i’ll borrow chris F’s agetek or something.
