I will not play on Japanese sticks at rush or on dreamcast for the following reasons:

Dreamcast is NOT Arcade Perfect. i only have experience on Arcade while you guys have on both.

I have not had experience on Japanese sticks, for as long as you guys have had on American Sticks. Ive only played with Jap sticks maybe a total of like… 10 times in my whole life.

I am NOT willing to go out of my way for a match… you guys on the other hand would have no change in schedule, cause you guys come to JZee’s all the time.

As i stated before, my hands are too big for Japanese sticks, but it feels great when i use an American Stick… conversely, i know people who have small hands and medium hands, who enjoy American sticks as well. (I figure Japanese sticks were made for Japanese people… all of whom are small people… hands, body size, etc… hell, when i was there, i was hitting my head at the top of doors all the time.)
There you have it. 4 PERFECTLY GOOD reasons why playing at JZee’s is more fair for both of us than playing on dreamcast with Jap sticks/ jap sticks in general.

tariq: i think it’s just that i feel like i’d be selling out marvel. marvel is the only game i really wanna “understand” and right now, it seems i’m prolly better at third strike than i am at marvel, which is gay… so yeah. while you might see the rest of the group practice, the only time i really play hardcore is when i do bets etc. so yeah, let’s just leave it at that… i’ll prolly practice the night or two before my match against maz though. just to get some tips etc
edit: on another note, both navid and his challenger seem rather reluctant. now, i know how this is gonna end. you guys are just gonna forget about the bet. since navid will NEVER get access to a DC with japanese sticks, i think it’s only fair that his opponents just come to johnny zee’s and practice on the american sticks… OR lend him a dreamcast for a few days so he can get better on those. otherwise, lol unless you’re a fearless leader like myself and am not scared to make compromises, nothing will get done:cool:
uhh tao… im not reluctant to play at JZee’s at all… Tariq and Mazdak have been playing at Jzee’s for atleast a year! (thats when i FIRST saw them atleast)… a couple days on dreamcast wont do me any good, cause i cant play on Jap Sticks… I am totally willing to play for money if it is at JZee’s… otherwise, its totally unreasonable for Tariq and Mazdak to expect any of us to play on a DC or on Jap sticks, when we have ALL mutually practiced on American Sticks and ARCADE version… go back to my last post… the 4 points i put up there are totally valid, and if they do not accept, its not me running away (as Tariq likes to put it), but its them… theyve played an adequete amount on the American sticks, so it shouldnt even be a factor. I find it hard to believe they are not willing to play on JZee’s sticks just because they feel they are “40%” better on Jap sticks… please. ive never seen them miss a parry they tried to parry, or missed a combo they wouldnt have missed… thier success rate on everything they do is pretty much consistant, and thier strategies always stay the same… strategies dont change with sticks… execution will, but not strategies… if ur gunna keep doing a wrap around punch thing/ sprial dhalsim thing with necro, or constant j.hk with Urien/EX Tackle for no apparent reason, sticks wont make a difference…
In my case, becase i do not have any experience with Jap sticks, it will make a big difference… i will not be able to execute my kara karakusas, or my hop tsurugis… or even kara supers!! my dashing will be sloppy and so will timing on virtually all my combos. Makoto is alot about timing, if you havnt noticed, and changing sticks will affect my timing dramatically, and i can almost assure you that i will have NO CHANCE of winning.
if that sounds fair to you guys, then this money match isnt going down…

This is student Tony!
I will be making arcade sticks once my provincials are over !!! That will be this friday. I need to know how many ppl are gonna want one ! Parts wise, i will be ordering parts from HAPP Controls so i will need people to look around for what they want for their stick and buttons. Once everyone’s decided what they want … i will start ordering ! If you miss it … 2 bad … you’re gonna have to wait !!!
To the people who has their own sticks and buttons, i am more than happy to jack it from you and put it on the box ! I’m gonna make the box out of MAHOGANY wood !!! VERY STRONG SHIT ! I can make the box 2 ways … if u want the littlo poster on your stick … u’ll need to plastic (arcylic) ! If not i’m just gonna put mahogany for the whole thing. Rubber stoppers are going to be at the bottom of the box so that your box doesn’t move during game play:D !!! bad experience !
Charging wise … I have no idea yet because i have to know how many ppl are gonna want one ! But most probably $120 CAD

Considering mass sticks are like 200 cdn & other americans selling there customs are like 125 cdn its a really good deal, since you don’t have to wait + pay shipping + taxes and all that other bull shit. Tony stick is pretty dam legit too man. The wiring he does it top notch. His stick was pretty tight with that capcom pic + its heavy so it dont fuckn flop around unlike those jap sticks. If ppl are looking for customs sticks they should definatley talk to tony, cause personally I made a stick and when you compare our sticks its like comparing a ford tempo to a subaru wrx.
