480p progressive scan ps2 fighting games

And adds lag and terrible deinterlacing artifacts. Try doing a Genei-Jin with Yun and look at the mess on his body. Parry animations are also whack.

The lag is +2 or +3 frames on PS3 when upscaling I believe, you can verify with Guitar Hero 2/3.

The only way for PS3 to display a PS2 game @ 480p accurately is if the game natively supports it, in which case you could play it on PS2 anyway. That’s why PS3 backwards compatibility is a pretty worthless feature for fighters.

Yes, so do KOFXI and SSTK.

I just bought SSTK. It DOES NOT have 480p.madmadmadmadmad
Thanks for blowing my money.
And for the record, the ps3 upscaling your 480i game to 480p is not the same at all, well maybe for the visually impaired it is.
I’m updating, the wiki, but somebody will probably just put it back again.

Are there any flaws in the Anthology version?
Does it still have arranged sound track?

Heey Superking… I know you posted this 10 years ago but I saw you might still be active on this forum. You mentioned that SSTK (JP) for PS2 can output in progressive but I can’t get the darn thing to work… Is there a certain button combo I’m missing? I’ve tried to force it in 480p with GS Mode Selector but it just gives me a black screen… Anyway hope you get this cause you are the only piece of proof I can find that SS VI actually works in 480p…
