Danny - I felt bad for ya because I know how it is to advertise try your heart out and advertise plenty ahead of time and do what you can to accommodate players just to find that no one shows or they show but don’t play anyway. I guess it happens from time to time so shrug it off and try again.
Fugee - I appologize for getting so short tempered with ya a few times late in the evening. I’m sure you understand in that if you were traveling a pretty good distance and were promised, say, a MKT tournament and like it got cancelled about 4 out of 6 times that you’d be rather upset too. And face it, I’m like Frank, that’s the main game I’m coming for. CvS2 (and Tekken 5 in this case) are to help pass the time for me so that I don’t get bored, and 3S is a game that I have chances to do well in but I’m never surprised if I don’t. Just please don’t lead people onto thinking there will be a tournament and then cancel it more times than not. If you post it, you better have it or people will get pissed, you’ll lose tournament director cred, and honestly some people will be reluctant about coming back. I’m sort of at that stage right now. I’m not sure it’s worth my time, money, and whatever to keep doing this just to be disappointed and angered over such a thing. I guess I have some serious thinking to do before deciding whether I’m coming back to these Ohio tournaments or not. Sorry.
George - Your royal Juiciness, thanks for the tourney matches. :karate: Can’t help but keep falling for this one Ken tactic in 3S. Haha. Marvel match for fun sometime? :wgrin:
Eric Collazo - Great seeing you again and yes, of course we played in all the tournaments that we both entered. DUH! That’s a given, sort of the same way with me and Domingo for some reason. Anyway, keep helping people to realize that we use joysticks, not button boxes.
Ghaleon Chris - Your improvement in 3S simply amazes me. And from what you told us, your improvement in MvC2 is quite inredible also. Keep up the good work. You have a real chance to be a truly dominating midwest force.
Anthony - The honkster, thanks for the Feng Wei tips. They should help take me a long way to improving my play, that is, when I do play. Oh well, it’s still fun and still worth it.
Sakura Dogs - Nice meeting you briefly. Congrats on your T5 finish and we truly hope to see you at my friend’s (Dave, that King player) tournament. Saturday, May 21st in Fort Wayne, IN.
The girlfriend of Sakura Dogs - Heh, thanks for that combo with Feng Wei. Although I haven’t really sat down and tried it a lot, the only way I sort of got it to connect is when I did the finishing f +2, 1, 2 and the 1 actually whiffed but the 2 connected, and I didn’t even delay the final 2. Anyway, tell your boy to think about attending our local Fort Wayne, IN tournament on Saturday, May 21st.
Everyone else that I know or recognize - Nice seeing ya again and I hope to do it again sometime.
