Grinding for XP in ranked I get a lot of friendly messages from randoms and only one hatemail. It’s a marked contrast from say MK9 lol. Maybe y’all should lay off the Ken/Chun taunts!
I have found the Third Strike community to be a lot more classy than the other communities online. Especially Marvel (For obvious reason lol)
I have only gotten 1 piece of hate mail so far, which was actually after my first match. This is what it was:

I’ve been getting a plethora of hate mail and ragequits/kicks.
One guy kicked me from his room the other day after I stomped him out and was all “YOU RUN AWAY AND IF I WANTED TO GO TO SLEEP, I’D PLAY YOUR BORING ASS MATCHES. STAY OUT OF MY ROOMS.”
Funny thing is, I was just standing still and blocking half the time, while he kept jumping away since I was teching and punishing half his shit.
I’ll admit though, I raged once on this ken who basically barely won, taunted me hard at the end of the match, because he went to a corner and started spaming EX fireballs. Got caught in one, lost and wanted to run that shit back. He tried to pull the “UMAD” card and I commenced to calling a scrub and blah, blah, blah, don’t be a chicken.
He said he’d post it on youtube and blah, blah, blah and I was all, “see if I give a shit. It’ll just show how hard you struggled to win.”
So at this point you’re looking at this like “lol, this guy’s salty.”, right?
Next day comes along and we get matched up in ranked again. He IMMEDIATELY hits ready. I look up and see its him and does the same. When I tell you I steamrolled this guy, I literally fucking Dio’d the shit out of him.
Know what he does as soon as the “YOU WIN” sign comes up?
Ragequits.
I laughed soooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard and even sent a mail of me laughing.
No fucking response whatsoever.

I’m not sure this was hate mail but it was pretty funny. I play Necro as my main and got a full stun juggle off on a pretty bad Urien and received…

If dats the only way you can win dats ok…” I send back “nope, I must have missed that one what happened?” The reply warmed my heart, " you kept on hittin me when my guy was in the air and when my guy got up I was still dizzy and couldn’t hit back, like I said if you need to cheat to win than whatever…"

I’m using Ibuki and fought this Ken who could seemingly block very well through frameskips and lag and somehow knew how to plan EVERY attack right through such muddled shit. So what do I do? I improvise and just f.mk as something to keep him at bay and sweep + launch (c.fk + s.fk) every time he tries to tatsu in.
I don’t engage, since the lag is batshit horrible, so he starts taunting me all through the match. At the end I barely win and I send him a mail saying “GGs, but that lag/frameskip was terrible. That’s why I didn’t engage you.” So this guy basically rages and responds calling me a scrub for spamming f.mk the entire match and running to a corner. So I tell him you can see a much better performance looking me up on youtube in which are games with no lag.
You know what this guy does?
He says the exact same thing back and says he got 3rd place in EVO 2k7. Mind you, Alex Valle (CaliPower) is who got third place, but this guy’s SN is MDLEGEND. So I go on to say I don’t see any of his YT vids or anything about him on google and he goes on about how he hasn’t missed EVO since 2k4 and how he’s on SRK and yadda, yadda, yadda. And then I ask him, “So I take it you can beat Alex Valle?”
Edit: So he responds saying Valle doesn’t play 3s anymore (Fell for it.) and blah, blah, blah. And I simply replied, “But valle made 3rd place in 2k7, so who are you?”

Will probably never receive hate mail at this rate, did actually send some recently, kinda. Fighting in a lobby, one opponent picks Gill (only uses him once against me). I lose first round, made dumb mistakes and got caught in combos. Second round, attack him out of full screen super during start up frames. Resurrection activates and saves his butt. Has more health than me and catches me in combos again. What really ticked me off was he taunted every time I was dizzied. I have more patience than the average guy, but I still had to vent my frustrations.

like half the people remaining on psn are rqers. doesn’t help that in this game you can quit anytime before the grade screen. i’m not sure how people decide whether or not to drop though. sometimes when you play someone who hasn’t dropped in the past, they’ll drop this time. or somebody who has dropped will play you again and not drop. i don’t really get it. either way the black screen of drop can’t seem to leave any incarnation of 3S alone.
also, vocal abuse over the mic > ragemail in terms of hilarity factor.
