Just listened to this. Took a few notes on it. Iām getting hyped for 3rd Strike Online. Iāll be a 3rd Strike Scrub, and lack of scene means Iāll need to resort to being an online warrior, but I can live with.

Also Pherai, I loved reading your Denjin SBO blog. Great info about the Japanese 3s scene and arcades along with some really funny stories about the adventure haha. Keep the 3s love going!
For Ryan: Please please talk about the Chun Li - Makoto matchup in depth. Iām having a lot of problems with her and would love to hear his opinions on some Makās heās played in Japan.

OK . . . back on topic with the OP. Around the 34 min mark of the podcast about Ken Vs Ken, someone said standing strong link to SA3 was impossible to confirm. Now, I do this fairly consistently offline, and depending on the connection, Iāll break 1:3 if I try it online. By no means am I saying Iām better than pherai, eric, nor yuuki. Yuuki consistently kicks my ass with his Yun & Ken, to the point I donāt challenge him unless Iām in the right mental state to take an ass-kicking before I learn something. Recently, I havenāt been on (GGPO) as much.
But this is not the second nor the third time someone has mentioned that I do something consistently with Ken that is considered as being required in Japanese play. The other is confirming cr. strong to Jinrai, but I donāt consider that hard at all, & Iāve seen more than enough people do it. What exactly is so hard with confirming st. strong? I just buffer down forward x2 on it like everyone does with everything else right?
EDIT: Yeah, I misheard that. They were talking about standing fierce.

Close or far fierce? Yeah, close is unconfirmable unless off of a parry. Can you link far fierce?
You can link far fierce, but the only time Iāve seen it work is on a crouching Hugo.
