3s yes. I have seen alot of recent matches and in my opinion he is the only one that I have seen that has brought anything new to the table. Of course this is just my opinion but the game is old. Its pretty hard to see anything new.
Last new thing I learned in 3s was keeper-jin after Sbo5 kofiend taught me it. That was in 2007 btw. other than that nothing new iirc.
Me and the crew I went to SBO this year with picked up some really nasty tricks taught by MOV to my friend Vinny. They are option selects though so they end up just looking like good decisions on video. There is still new developments in the 3s labs, but its hard to realize or even notice them since they aren’t new combos or anything that obvious that you could pick up from a video alone.

There’s nothing to even say here, everything here is among the most god awful and ill-informed garbage I have ever read. “All you have to do with Makoto is just mash and you will either deal ridiculous damage or you’ll be safe, 50/50, repeat”. WHAT?

Did you just say that Yun is NOT broken because it takes a great amount of skill just to not take nigh 50% damage from Genei Jin? Because taking skill to master does not unbreak a character, if you were trying to imply something so drastically idiotic.

Replace Chun with Sagat and Yun with whoever else scrubs think is overpowered in SF4 and you have every armchair 3s MASTER, ever.
I don’t give a real shit about either of these games, because they’re both pretty mediocre, but SF4 > SF3:NG, which should be the only comparison of SF3 to SF4, ever. The fact that anyone chooses to compare it to 3s proves one of two things… Hell, maybe even both:
1.) that SF4 haters are amongst the most retarded of fighting game players and are horrendously argumentative but are too far gone into being water-heads to know how to even properly contrast and compare, let alone intelligently debate.
2.) that SF4 is the most solid and well-rounded 1st iteration of a SF title ever. So apparently it’s so good for an initial title, that people need to compare it to titles that have been fleshed out over the course of numerous expansions and revisions just to exemplify the game’s faults, then try to exonerate themselves by pointing out that they play a game that has had time to culminate into a deep and legitimate fighter that is just flawless in every way, even though it STILL has glaring faults. As if they games you play 45 minutes a day against crap competition somehow make you godlike at fighters. Everyone in here who talked shit on SF4 outside of Yi, ROM and Kai(I cringed a bit) suck dick at 3s anyways, so who the fuck cares what you think about ANY fighting game? Once again, thank you everyone for proving that the SF4 scrubs are not wasting their time with such a great game, because that IS exactly what you’re doing. Either that or proving that you have no place in commenting on fighting games, and therefore the blindly negative feedback is irrelevant.

If I was rich like a billionaire, I’d hire some mexicans to go to any arcade in california that has it and to break the machine so nobody could play.
Better yet I’d pay Capcom a large sum of money to create a patch to deactivate all the sf iv games so nobody could play it at home period. I’m outta here.
god damn why are people so salty? so there wont be a main event tournament that is won by a top player that doesn’t even give a shit about the game anymore. have a side tournament, play in the BYOC area, or play in your hotel room with people that actually share the same passion as you.
Wiz and the Evo staff are doing what they need to do to keep Evo afloat but that doesn’t mean you have to stop playing 3s. Just play the games you love with people that love them as well and let Justin Wong worry about having to pick up some other fighting game he could care less about in order to get a check.
