I’d much prefer to play a 4th strike, than 3s with a nerfed chun li or something.
With all those changes it would be exciting. Although unless it got an official release the player base would be stupid small.

Works fine but they only contain small adjustments, like longer Ken/Yun SA3 bar (GJ go back to 0 quicker once activated), slower Karakusa, tweaked hit/blk adv for all chars, Chun cr.mk is now a 12 frames hit confirm (not 13+2 anymore), etc…
No new move/SA.

Just being realistic. 3S has been ported how many times already and to how many different systems? Despite all of that, people do not care about the game. Couldn’t be easier to try it out and start playing it.
If someone doesn’t like it now, they won’t like it with some ‘balance’ changes.
I play 3S on whatever. I play it how I can, but I 100% prefer the game as it was originally made on a proper setup.

There is no 3s mentality you’re just not used to a stable mindset. 5 iterations of the same shit game and now everyone has to change 5 different ways to be relevant? 3s is still too far ahead of this time. Maybe in another 10 years.
If an 3S remix would be released for PSN/XBL right now, people would be just like “I played this game last summer already, who cares?”

I love the game as it is, and i would love the idea of the remix. Everyone else who opposes it is stuck in arcade perfect mentality. You guys are reminding me a lot of the SF2T guys who would bitch and moan about random things that are different from each arcade board and etc. Almost like no one wants to adapt to a new thing.
That’s because nobody wants your stupid ass remix, not the people who’ve played for years nor the casual mass market folk. Take a guess to which of these two games are made for today? There’s no point in trying to revive something there’s no demand for, 3s rebalance is an unreachable utopia.

no. you dont want to adapt. once youve played a game long enough and realize how infinitely deep it is, and how bad you are, you aren’t interested in having to start over again.
you will never find a dedicated group of players who have been playing a game for 5+ years suddenly want their game changed to make it ‘fresh’
if i want to adapt, i go play a different game that i’m not as familiar with.
sometimes you want your favorite food from your favorite restaurant because you know exactly how it’ll taste and that is why you enjoy it.
sometimes you like to try something else.

It’s hard to say. On the one hand you guys are right, there’s not enough interest to justify a 3S remix. On the other hand… Fuck Chun Li. That’s what it comes down to and we all know it. At one point I was in favor of it and used the fact that the KOF UM games were rebalances and were successful. They were successful to a point, but the community is still split; pretty much all of Mexico still plays OG02 as opposed to UM for some reason. But the advantage they had is that the mechanics in those games were tweaked and they added a shit load of characters. That’s something a 3S remix can’t compete because the mechanics are perfect, and no new characters can be added.
But I will say this: A fan-made remix that’s put on GGPO in the Final Fight room would be fun. What would be the harm in that?
