id be curious to know why people choose the colors they play. the only other colors i pick consistently is jab makoto cause I love Boss, pink dudley for obvious reasons, and black ken in honor of all of socals mexican ken players

Oro has bad colors. 
Green ken is hideous. White Ken is the best.
I won a bunch of matches as Yun tonight, how strange. I also won a couple with Necro. Guess nobody decent was on, and neither was anybody who felt like abusing lag. Didn’t fight a single Urien, and only one Alex and our connection was pretty good, so those are factors. I’m glad I bothered to look at Game Restaurant a little, because I definitely didn’t know you could follow up Electric Snake in the corner with LP Magnet (whatever that move is called) > elbow. Very useful, if I’m fighting somebody who actually manages to get hit by Electric Snake.
Also, nobody cares what I think about colors, but you guys started it. I didn’t intend to cover everybody, but I did, oh well
Purple Ken is best Ken, but they’re all good
3 button Yang is the worst Yang, roundhouse is best
all of Yun’s colors are boring. Forward is the only Yun color I particularly like, and everybody uses it.
Similar feelings regarding fierce Dudley, though his colors are better on the whole.
Makoto’s colors pretty much all have one thing I don’t like that I feel like ruins the palette (usually either her hair, or her red undershirt / bra / whatever). If I mained her on CPS3 I’d probably use short…but maybe not…
I like orange Oro, but I feel like it meshes poorly with his home stage. 3 button and forward are the only other good ones.
Ryu’s are all good
Akuma’s are all good except 3 button
Chun-Li’s are all fine, though preference goes to short and fierce
Q’s are basically fine, but none of them are super great. Red reminds me of Carmen SanDiego, but you go blind if you fight Elena.
Elena’s are all pretty good except Talbain color (forward)
Remy’s are all pretty good, with preference to short and fierce. Not a fan of the popular 3 button Italian restaurant style.
Necro’s forward makes no sense, and reminds me of a DLC color in that it seems to change drastically depending on how he’s standing, but the rest are all nice. Preference to short and fierce.
Twelve doesn’t exist and is the only character whose colors I don’t have memorized. Default, Blue and Green are the only acceptable ones. Maybe yellow and red, except on Yun and Elena’s stages.
Alex’s are all good
Hugo’s are mostly ok, forward is horrible, green is probably the best but meshes poorly with home stage
Urien’s are all kinda bland. I like the blue eyes on roundhouse, but that’s about it.
Sean’s are all fine. Strong is boring though.
Ibuki’s short is nice, and red would be nice if it wasn’t for the Elena variable. I kinda like strong too, but I dunno, something is slightly off about it. The rest are boring, or give her dumb hair.
I like Carmen Sandiego Q also!

Urien green blue and gold are all pretty solid I think. I’m partial to gold every since watching old Emphy match footage.

I picked blue Chun since Rikimaru plays it and at the time Ryan was playing it. Ryan has since switched to short and I’m afraid my loyalties will have to remain with Rikimaru.

alternate between white and green Ken. lots of Ken players I’ve looked up to - Boss, Nuki, Deshiken, 5 star. I dig blue Ken (and Matsuken) but Alaska already has a blue Ken player.
I’ve been trying to learn Yun lately but haven’t settled into players to idolize or a color to swear by
I usually switch colors every now and then, and occasionally change up colors based on my mood.
Classic - My favorite for the longest
Dark Blue - Obelisk the Tormentor
Pale White/Blue - My signature color for awhile, matches Denjin super bar. SWAG
Namijin Color - My choice as of now. Been playing more methodical with it, and seen more improvement with this.

Is it me or does the PSN version run waaaaay too fast? Like super turbo fast. I do have a 512GB MX100 SSD installed on my PS3. Could that have something to do with it? I do have the OE version on XBOX 360 (on the standard 250 GB HDD) and nowhere this fast. I also have the CPSIII version in a capcom impress cabinet, so I do have a point of reference.
That’s interesting Ryu24. When I was switching colours a bit I played kinda differently depending on what I chose. Certain styles of play came out at different times inspired by well known players I’d seen with the colour I was using.
PS3 and 360 both seem like the same speed to me, but both run noticeably faster than CPS3 for sure.
It’s really odd. I’m going to delete it and re-download it when I get home, but it must have been running at 120% or 130% the normal speed.
Vanao (short) and magu (3 button) are best ryu.
classic kuni and rh namijin are decent.
I really only like the mester yun color.

Over the last week I’ve gone through an xbl ranked stretch where the only games I’ve lost have been to IAmJeffGoldblum and NoMoreFunland. Like 200 games of 99.99% victory. Am I the greatest online ranked player the world has ever seen??

That reversal SAII for my accidental mgb was so gross. I think I should play more Dudley though, it feels good to play a character that who’s options are so wildy different. And plentiful.
