Yellow - can play anyone green or yellow (not red)
Red - can only play green
I think that’s correct? so presumably there’s some red NAT people you can’t play. I only get red NAT after my xbox freezes and then I turn the game back on for whatever reason. rest of the time is green for me.
does NAT have to do with ping or ports or what?
yeah I have fond memories of RE4 coming out as well! the girl I was dating at the time was really into it. zombies are love.
NAT is ports. It should use NAT and ping by locality to do the matchmaking.
ha weird man, my only RE4 playthrough was a joint playthrough with an old girlfriend, and I think she played like 85% of it.

haha that reminds me of when a friend that had already been playing for a while tried to help me learn lol. He wouldn’t literally not say a thing while we were playing and then if I died and had to respawn he would get off mic, turn to me and say things like “dude look you’re dead, what the fuck man, get in the game”.

Incorrect. If you guys like RE4 you should be playing The Evil Within, it’s pretty great from the little bit I’ve played.
I spent the weekend fighting the urge to go buy a PS4 instead of just playing the 360 copy I rented.
Play Dark Souls. It’s a good game.
Also Alien: Isolation. Best First Person Survival Horror game ever made.
It’s just weird to be on a forum for Capcom’s most underrated game, and see people talking about Capcom’s most overrated game. But yeah, run of the mill third person shooters are awesome I guess.

Run of the mill? I don’t really recall too many games that played like RE4 when it was released. After it came out there were tons of imitators.
Well if your an interesting and intelligent (or attractive in some instances…) enough human they will want to have a shared experience with you at least SOME times.

As tempted as I am to play the ps3 version. I am just going to hold out until I can play the best version available.

I guess I’m just quick to defend RE4, as its one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve played it more times than I can remember. The graphics (which have aged remarkably well IMO), the gameplay, the atmosphere it creates. It has near perfect pacing, the feedback you get from firing weapons and scoring hits gives it a fantastic feel. My only real complaint is constantly having to hold down a button to run but that’s a pretty minor nitpick.
Capcom should have never let Mikami walk away. The man is a genius of game design.
The thing is, you don’t need to defend RE4. 99% of gamers seem to think it’s one of the top 10 games of all time. I, however, got bored of it by the end of the village (I’d enjoyed it a lot for the first couple hours though) and have LONG since tired of seeing people put it on a pedestal. These days it seems like everyone hates traditional RE games, in retrospect. I thought they were awesome, and unique. RE4 just felt another shooter, and one that just got worse and worse as it went on.
