yeah usually thatās what I do. just after a bunch of games it can get depressing lol. you can only start every round by holding forward until theyāre in the corner before you think āthis is just too silly.ā
thereās this one Sean player on XBL for instance. weāve been running into each other in ranked for the last three years. I swear every single game we play the first round starts the exact same. he walks backwards 3-5 steps and does overhead turn kick. I have walked forward and then parried + punished this kick every game for the last three years. he still does it every game. itās a testament to never say quit attitude I guess.
I realize I bring this on myself and itās pretty silly to play so much ranked and then complain about it though. I think Iāve got unrealistic expectations for a collection of random strangers.

I like some of the other jrpgs too. Suikoden III and V, Final Fantasy X, maybe some others Iām forgetting. I was big into jrpgs as a teenager.
PS2 was a sweet system! I play CVS2 on it sometimes even though I have no idea what Iām doing.

I never got super into GTA though I did play III and SA. usually Iād play a few story missions but eventually get sidetracked into running over pedestrians.
I spent a semester of college nights building a college football dynasty out of the University of New Mexico in NCAA Football 2007. I really got into the team building aspect - making your players better through drills, manipulating graduation years so that Iād have super classes of 5th year seniors all starting at the same time, all those details. considering how simply everything worked itās nuts that I spent a whole semester doing that but it really scratched an itch for me.
Resident Evil 4 is another sick game for PS2, though thereās better versions of the game on other consoles. I remember being more invested in the ongoing Leon-Ada relationship than I probably shouldāve been. I think the writing had something to do with that - the RE4 dialogue in general is pretty snappy! fun game and fun cutscenes.
Play Dark Souls. Itās a good game.

yeah I liked how much of a parallel there was in that video lol. and thatās one of my favorite Star Trek scenes ever. Dukat is a great character!
did you kill every enemy or did you just run through all the checkpoints?
Probably a good 2/3 of them. I donāt remember my exact number of kills total at the end but itāll be something like 700. Some parts I ran just to save time like the swamp, dog maze, and the war zone.
thatās good. I hate those speedruns where all they do is run through the checkpoints. I get that itās a speedrun and thatās optimal, but if I sit down to watch a speedrun I wanna actually watch them play the game.
other games are like that too. if I watch a Super Mario World run I aināt trying to watch them take the shortcut through star road.
What glitch were you referring to in that first post. denjizz? I donāt recall any glitch in RE4.
Theres the striker glitch where you equip it or do something in the menu and you run 2x as fast. Or thereās some parts with Locked doors on the other side and you can still shoot them off and proceed to another stage faster. Or skipping salazars fight with the ladder trick.
Yeah full speed runs are more interesting IMO too. Like a super Mario 64 full 120 star run or personally my favorite speed run of all time is Majoras Mask 100% speedrun in as little 3-day cycles as possible. Most fun challenge ive ever had.
Recently I upgraded my modem to one that is much newer than what I was using. Seems like my NAT has gone to yellow though. Anybody have insight about improving this rating or what the problem might be? My internet service is supposed to be significantly faster now as well. WTF!?
re4 was amazing.
it really felt like nothing else to me at the time. So tense and good. I guess I was about 20 then. I just could not believe it. Bought a component cable just to play that shit in progressive scan.
@NoMoreFunlandā Iām pretty sure as long as you donāt have Red NAT, youāre good to go. Iād love to know what is causing it but it doesnāt matter connection-wise.
