Yeah silly reason as it is, I tend to agree. But I also think his fast meter building from whiffing normals was a really stupid advantage and should have been removed. 2I slam dunk was sick as fuck though and definitely shouldn’t have been removed.
Even though I tend to agree that picking Sean is generally sending a message or trolling, I’ve been surprised how often people end up losing to some Ken players janky Sean. Command dash throw/ex uppercut has to be the worst mixup in the game but people fall for it all the time.
I hate the XBL ranked playerbase so I’m 100% okay with choosing shitty characters or supers vs them. or trying to beat them with one normal or whatever you want to do. #swerve XBL ranked players

but yeah if you’re playing someone who cares I think you should play them with respect. if you invited a new player to come play with your group locally, you wouldn’t start it off by picking Sean or Remy SA3. it’s just showing good faith and a respect for your opponent’s time that you play like you mean it.

I almost always lose to good players, but unfortunately on XBox live I usually win. Play my Twelve (red larry). I love fighting the goodplayers even though you hate.

I’ve actually been trying to work SA1 & 3 into my game, so when I pick them I’m not trolling.
This whole “Well, Joe TopPlayer wouldn’t pick that super/character/strat so no one else should either” mentality has made fighting games fucking BORING. Just look at SF4. GodDAMN is that game boring to play. Everyone does the same shit. If it weren’t for people trying new stuff, Urien wouldn’t be the powerhouse he is, Yun wouldn’t be top tier, and the tierlist in general would look a lot different. Is SA3 the best super for Remy? Maybe, maybe not. But there’s no reason to assume someone’s trolling by picking it, especially if they kick your ass.

You know how I did that? Training room. Playing another person doesn’t give you anything except for vindication when you either guess or react to a move and connect sa3.
Any kind of buffering or OS I have tried to figure out with it. I absolutely believed and still do a bit that there is something in there we don’t understand. However, playing vs a random person is not the place to figure it out. Play with a friend or training room.
So while it’s cool that you’re trying to take the noble explorer route, you are using people as test subjects and not many people appreciate that.

I’m kidding. I’m not saying go in and fuck around (I always go through arcade mode first to try anything new I’m working on) and I’m not saying you aren’t speaking from experience, you assumed that. If I like and want to use SA3 (I do) I shouldn’t have to put up with being called a troll because top players don’t use it (and in that case, how many top players even use Remy outside of Piarrot and maybe one or two others? Should I get called a troll for picking anyone below Urien on the tierlist?) All I’m saying is, everyone plays differently, and if I decide I want to use something else to shake it up, that shouldn’t be looked down on. I get wins with SA3 so I’m gonna use it.
On the subject of JR’s skill, he avoids me in ranked. That’s how bad he is.
When it comes down to it 3s is all about good/smart decision making. It is hard to take someone serious who makes bad decisions before the match even really starts. Different for the sake of being different is scrub thinking…imo
Getting “wins” as a justification for doing silly/obnoxious/lag safe things in game is actually a losing attitude. It’s an approach to the 3s that will limit your growth in the long term. Worse is that you will irritate players who can teach you or really challenge you into walking away.
High level play is built in years of experimentation and skill development. New things can be discovered by anyone, as we saw with telesniper’s work. That dude friggin worked.
Winning is important if you’re in a tourney but don’t expect other people to have fun when you’re messing around AND just try’n ta get that W.
