No i think necro beats shotos 4 free cause of the typical style of play.shotos cant fireball, miss a sweep,or jump in to much (necro has 7 different anti-air.necro has nice overheads, mild priority.
With Necro it takes little work to get someone stun so when you stun them make up the power
THE BIGGEST THING I STRESS IS PARRY MAKES A DIFFERENCE SO I THINK TIERS CAN VARY JUST A LITTLE BIT.WHAT I SAYIN IS IF YOU HAVE A LOW TIER PARRY JUST A LITTLE BIT BETTER (DUH)
SO IS NECRO RANKED A LITTLE LOW BY 1 OR 2 AT LEAST ?
not even with Fwd/RH drills or something? Iâve seen that work fairly well against chuns, dunno why shotos would be a whole lot different aside from random dp factor.
Best thing necro has going for him in shoto matches is that his standing strong out ranges the low forward from the shotos and it will even hit when they are crouching / trying to do a low forward.
dude you missed my point, please reread my last post. i was trying to convey that it depends on the player and the character. ume players distort tiers because they compensate with their characterâs weaknesses by being able to read minds. also, ume is offensive and defensive: offensive is connected wake-up shoryukens, defensive is parrying genei-jin. thanks for reading.
necro does not beat shotos for free. the usual case with necro beating shotos is: either the shotos suck, or the necro is really good. if the shotos have a typical style of play they donât sound that good.
yes, predicting parries makes necro more efficient, however that is not necro-specific. predicting parries even makes chun-li better.
tk said necro is 12th, sugiyama (best necro on earth) said he is 16th. take your pick, or average the two numbers. in any case, necro is somewhere around 12-16.
necro can move forward if he has some balls. necro has a very strong game just outside of throw range, similar to urienâs. if necro can dance in this area, he does well.
hey just wanna say ur welcome dude. Since uâve seen the japan scene first hand your opinions re: this game are respected regardless.
Ok since you brought up ume and weâre talking about character matchups, do certain characters do better than others if the user can ume? I THINK Ibuki is a good example. She doesnt have a reliable b&b and she can be played in many ways, but what she does have are tools for every situation. I feel that her game is enhanced much more than, say, Chunâs if played by someone who Umeâs. Most of Chunâs options are damn solid, and thats why shes one of the best. But since she doesnt have that many, I feel that there isnt as much potential for growth.
So as you were saying, maybe a tier listing based on ume players would show us what characters have more potential for growth? or what characters befenit from an ume player? Since they can read minds, maybe they can see the future?
yun benefits the most from ume, due to the nature of genei jin. but yes, ibuki does have a lot to gain from ume, since she does such high stun damage. oro and necro would also be bumped up.
to be able to ume is to read the street fighter mind. you canât tell what someone had for breakfast with ume, but you can read their street fighter mind, as in what they are going to do regarding the game. a street fighter mind must also be developed, and thus it is impossible to ume a novice since they have no mind.
Ume (ew-may):
n. the psychic ability to predict the mind of your opponent
v. to use the UME ability upon your opponent
see post by THE DOCTOR for more information.
however! Yun needs no Ume. Genei Jin has benefit of countless mixupâthis is not Ume, as it does not invoke the power of psychic knowledge.
howeverârelationship between Yun and Ume is indeed very intimate. It is well known FACT⌠to counter Genei Jin ⌠one must UME. See EVO finals 2k3.
Ume masters throw their bodies, at great peril, for the purpose of offensive intimidation and dominance.
