It doesn’t make any sense to play against someone vastly more experienced if you are just starting out.
If they’re willing to help you, then yes, it is. If you’re just starting out it helps, because then you can learn what they’re doing, and just overall it gives you a better knowledge of the character.
IMO, anyway.
I’m the biggest noob. I need more 3s honestly.
AC-Slayer helped me level up in my 3S game too…but I’m still hella bad. I can get some random wins on ppl like him sometimes but for the most part he still destroys me. I got my basics in 3S up to a decent level but good people’s mind games are still going to be much higher than scrubs’ mind games. AC doesn’t come on that often but if you can get in some games with him you can learn a lot.
ya same here
no…this pyrolee on ggpo plays like a shit
Online is a whole different game…
What should I be doing with Ryu? I know all the inputs for his normals and specials.
Now what should be my strategy with him. Remember I am a 3s noob so give me simple things to work on.
Step 1) Pick Denjin Hadoken as your Super (SAIII)
Step 2) Get meter
Step 3) Get a knockdown
Step 4) Denjin
Step 5) Win
I’m a GGPO 3S noob!!
GET AT MEEEEE
when I go to GGPO and click on SF: 3S it says “You must have the game ROM to enter this room. Put sfiii3n.zip in C:\Program Files\GGPO\roms”
could this be happening because I didn’t do this step? Step 3:
Open UDP ports 6000-6009 (inbound/outbound) and TCP port 7000 (outbound) in your home network. GGPO uses these ports to communicate with the matchmaking server and with other players on the internet.
can anyone help?
the point is you dont know what your doing thats why you would lose to a higher lvl player, its up to you (generally speaking not just you prorook) as a player to look back at what you did wrong during the match and try to correct your mistakes
For example, if you lose to someone who grabs you 90% of the time and you lose consistently to it, after the match you would think about it and look at the basic options you had…in this case it would be
- to tech
- watch for a pattern if it involves tick throws (EX: low lk, throw)
- jump out if there is no tick throw
then afterwards you would look at which option is best suited vs that character…then you would look towards the players tendency in that situation
later on though, this observation will soon start to come natural to you while you’re playing in the matches themselves instead of after in which case you’re making substantial progress in your game
the moment you start to see yourself making progress like that, you’re no longer considered a noob
it doesnt make it easy for the higher lvl players to teach those who dont understand a thing about the game…whenever i play someone at a low lvl i wind up saying watch videos to understand how the game should be played, and just learn the basics first…it doesnt help when someone who just presses buttons, or thinks combos, parries, or even attacking will help them learn…they need to first start off with learning the specific pokes with the character theyre using and from there learn specials and then move on to playing higher lvl players
if i were to play someone who was prepared like that, it would make it easier for me to see what theyre doing wrong in there gameplay and teach them things little by little in order to improve
so basically all thats necessary in order to get better by playing higher lvl players is knowledge of the basic gameplay, normal moves of your character/s and mechanics…itll make it easier for you to learn thus helping you reach a higher level
this is all coming from my encounter with players who dont know much about the game or weaker players who are attempting to learn
Niga KO speaking the truth
can anyone who plays 3S on GGPO please, PLEASE help me???
Damn, I need a Dudley mentor. I’m still learning his moveset.
Im thinking about deleting my rom.
