Good god the saturation.
Are there any good matches I should watch for Oro vs Yang? I hate fighting twins.
thanks. but unfortunately itās not just the language barrier. iām a perfectionist by nature. the difficulty of convincing myself that i can plan things without any errors has caused me to miss out on many life experiences in the past. i doubt that anyone wants to babysit me if i do end up in japan.
is it too late to book flights? also where are you guys staying? how do people do thisssssssssssssssssssss
How people do this is book a flight and come.
Youāre not going to have a set plan being here which is the reason itās so fun. If you want an itinerary youāre better off going on one of those package tours for old people.
Tokyo is seriously like 15 km wide so as long as you stay somewhere central youāll be fine.
Nowadays with the Internet and smartphones, coming here canāt be any more easy.
I think if you want to go you should just go for it. lifeās an adventure! who knows how long coop will happen or if youāll regret not going.
Iām staying at New Koyo which a quick currency conversion on google tells me costs about 33 Canadian dollars a night. looks like just a small room with a bed and wifi. you could map out all the places youāll want to go on google maps in advance. thereās a LOT of westerners confirmed going this year so I suspect thereāll be lots of english speakers around + I think a couple western teams still need members.
I have no idea what Iām doing also, but āYOLOā as they say
It looks like Canadians are like Americans in that they only need a passport for a stay thatās three months or less. So first order of business is obtain a passport and plane ticket.
Iāll just put it this wayā¦
The first time I went I didnāt speak a word of Japanese and had no idea what I was doing.
I almost got scammed by a hooker for like 600 bucks, and then I got insanely lost when I passed out on the train shitfaced. Woke up with the most hardcore hangover in the middle of nowhere and had to manage my way back. I compared it to playing a brand new Rpg game (when the map is still blacked out, had to ask random people for tips, etc.) Best week of my life.
Anybody know what the New Jersey 3rd Strike scene is like? Moorestown, NJ is about an hour from Doylestown, PA and NYC, and itās a 30 minute drive from Philadelphia.
Any weekly or monthly events?
Hey Ryan or anyone else who knows. Where is 3s popular in Shinjuku? Am I gonna have to be riding the train when I want to play?
Iām gonna be living near Mikado. But I donāt know how popular 3s is there.
Hey wargreymon you going to coop cup?
3S isnāt popular in Shinjuku so far as I know, but likeā¦youāre going to be living by Mikado? They have 5 setups running regularly, Iām sure people show up. Also, Newton and Versus are both like a 15 minute train ride away, and the trains are ALWAYS on time in Japan. I think youāll have it good enough.
When I have gone itās to Doylestown to play.
Iām not sure if there currently is but there was a cab at 8 on the Break in Dunellen. Not sure who would play there though.
Iām from up near Hackettstown and Chester and itās worth the drive to go play with everyone in Doylestown.
If youāre thinking of going you could send a message to Diaperbomb probably and he could give you some info.
I have a Supergun with 3S so if I do move to NJ, Iām pretty sure we could get a few people to play once in a while (if you want of course). Iāll definitely send Diaperbomb a message if my move is official, thanks for the info.
Siren Records in Doylestown is the home of a versus city cab if you didnāt know, so thatās why itās kind of a location for people.
A supergun is dope though just means more flexibility for smaller events or anything. Everyone from maryland to nyc would appreciate having another setup in the east lol
Thereās three places to play in shinjuku but thereās hardly anyone there.
If you want to play good people youāll have to go to the designated spot to play on any given day.
Gotta say, the funnest matchup imo would have to be Oro vs Akuma. With Oro having directional fireballs to counter Akumas downwards, the divekick vs airstomp, double jumping over red fireballs and with them BOTH having more supers to look out for with great counters to each others (teleport through Ex Dama and double jumping a raging demon)
Itās just great. Really hoping to see them together in the same game at some point again!
I donāt know who saw the Famitsu 10 on 10 video but I am stealing pierrotās moves.

Beat Talbain in last nightās Touzaisen. Achieved the bare minimum of what Iād hoped to accomplish here. Now I can die without regrets.
