It’s been mentioned on here several times that this is how TM confirms dash punches and stand mk.
Weird but I hadn’t previously seen this version of the stun combo on Chun before done by any oro player in a match (and belive me I’ve watched a ton of oro vids). I’ve always done the reset to get the stun but seems like that’s not necessary at all. Obviously getting a launcher in the corner with full meter happens quite rarely but still I thought this was kinda intresting… Pretty sure you can do the same combo against Remy but you might have to add a fierce booger after the lp. Also finding the sweet spot where you get nothing but the roundhouse to hit against Remy is a lot harder than it is against Chun.
Quite a few good players on Xbox lately. Sandybags, Ryan, chaitea, Yuuki, Kyo, and Exotech are on more as of late. If that’s not competitive enough for you I doubt you’ll find what you’re looking for online.
Kd, I saw you on stream yesterday, wanted to join but it was late, you were raping last time I recalled. Nice zoning on that ken.
What’s your gamertag? If you see me on feel free to join or invite.
BackRavekiller, played you a couple times, always a pleasure to get some good matches in. Trying to win with makoto but I have difficulty to figure out how to play this woman correctly.
Just noticed there is a piece of bamboo on Chun’s stage Player 2 corner that can break, very surprising to me.
There’s a ramen bowl that falls down from the table, thing on the left that breaks, the bamboo stick, and the roof made of canvas that breaks also on the right side. Sick stage
I was playing some GGPO pad strike to kill time, and CPU Makoto just started the round by doing 5 hayate in a row, EX hayate, EX oroshi. I just…needed to tell somebody. I’ve played arcade mode so many times, and I’ve never seen anything remotely like that. :’(
You know, I’ve never seen anyone play with Gill, like they d with ST Gouki
Boss is the best Gill in the world.
There was footage of it in one of KSK’s streams, but it was likely deleted from nicovideo.
Here’s some practically useless tech I stumbled across: A Dudley reset on Akuma, using SA1. Costs about 1.5 super bars but it kills if Akuma doesn’t parry the super after the reset.

Some interesting/useless Alex tech:
Against Necro: b.HP punishes the Electricity and beats wakeup Super (if Necro blocks the b.HP he can punish with super). Also, if Necro does the Drill Kick and doesn’t block immediately after landing (Artayes) EX Air Knee counts as a reversal.
If Twins do an improper Dive Kick (I.E. it didn’t hit around the legs to combo off of) SA2 punishes it. Useful against online Twin players.
If Ibuki does wakeup EX SRK and it hits but she doesn’t confirm into SA1. EX Air Knee punishes her. It counts as a reversal. You do slightly more damage than her EX SRK so it’s somewhat practical if you have a life lead.

[/quote]That’s a variation of an old combo. Instead of f+MK x Jet Upper, you do EX Jet Upper, HP Jet Upper. Either way is fine I suppose since it still is 100% stun/damage.
So many new ways to mess up the combo. That is srk, though.
Since Dudley’s been brought up a few times figured I might chime in with something related. Don’t know if the wiki’s just outdated or if everybody already knows it (I’ve only just started messing with Dudley casually, still new to it), but I was mucking about with juggles and I found an interesting one for midscreen Q, probably the most unmetered damage off an EX-MGB you can get midscreen: >> last hit of Jab-MGB x2 >> Short-SSB.
The links feel kinda tight though it’s definitely doable with practice; the wiki has a shorter version of this combo with only one Jab-MGB, much more useful under pressure. And just like in the shorter version, the miscreen SSB makes contact at the very tip so super-cancelling to either SA1 or SA3 at the end will whiff (not that you’d want to burn super in most cases, but yeah).
Incidentally, speaking of Jab-MGB juggling, has anyone seen Jab-MGB x4 on Shotos after cornered EX-MGB launch? I’ve seen it done after cornered cr.Rhs launch and the juggle mechanics certainly permit it, but are the hitboxes willing? I can’t seem to get more than 3 against Gouki before I have to SSB because he’s so close to hitting the ground that he almost touches it, but then again I’m new to the character so maybe others have had more success…
that only works when kani pan is done with meaty timing so I imagine its not possible with ex mgb
I didn’t end up finishing the combo section, I probably will at some point though still not sure if anyone will read that page. You could do another LP MGB but it’s probably not worth it as if you mistime that you’re giving up damage.
Hey, does anybody here (Pherai?) know exactly when that free play thing, at Mikado I think is? ([edit] newton, ok whatever )I finally started my ALT job, and I’m about an hour outside of Tokyo, so I want to get my time and money’s worth when and if I can come in.
I’m so 3S starved, I’ve done a little random arcade hopping in Saitama and hardly anybody has 3S. Only Magmax in Kawagoe had it of the one’s I’ve found. I played a few matches against some Hugo, and I swear the P1 side was wonky because I couldn’t even get EXs consistently. Kind of a bummer.
For Saitama go to Big 1 at Minami Urawa. http://big1.mods.jp
Free play is Wednesday at Newton from 17:00-. Sadly I never go as I always have work.
My home arcade Koenji Cube has free play sometimes also.
