Kiraki has been playing for less than a year and his Elena is already pretty good. Better than Talbain at least who just refuses to improve after all these years and is almost considered a joke there. Well ok that’s not saying much, I know, but Kiraki is actually good, he’s even been awarded with touzaisen mpv status one time. He just has to improve his defense, play more consistently and he can reach the top Elenas in a few years.

Oh wow, this is interesting. My brother is an Elena main and whenever I ask him if he knows any good Elena players he sighs and says “MOV, but he doesn’t even play her anymore”. If I mention Talbain and Magunamu he gets irritated, heh. I’ll be telling him about Kiraki, but what are the other “top Elenas” he should look for?

By the way, does anyone else remember when a fair few Touzaisens in a row started out with Talbain (EL) vs Pierrot (RE)? Was that a joke or something?

There aren’t many Elena players. She’s kind of a “mendokusai” character. Not fun to fight against win or lose.

The tradition was actually Talbain vs Shima. Pierrot is far too good to go first. But the thing is, Shima actually got good. He had to travel to another area of Japan (because of work and stuff?) these past few months so there is not a lot of recent footage(he did come back to see his 3s buddies one time). But I remember the Shima of 6 months ago and damn that was a good Remy. And ok he’s still not top level great, but because I remember him from those early touzaisen days, his improvement makes me feel good, I’m sort of invested in him now. Talbain? Nope.

Check out Orona Elena, his team won co-op cup 2012. Ok they had Deshiken and Ushi but still.

I guess I’m still far too bad at this game to understand why Elena is more annoying than Chun-Li. Dudley’s roundhouse to EX machinegun whiffs both of them crouching. Is it because of her stage? I like the music, personally, but the red-to-yellow color scheme is pretty hard on the eyes. Would definitely be a deterrent to maining Elena if I could play in arcades, and also wanted to main Elena…
