3rd Strike best fighting game ever?

Best part about the japanese format is makoto is more potent because of the single match nature. Makoto is so much fun to watch XD

After careful thought, No. It is the 3rd best fighting game ever, Marvel 3 is number one and 2nd is CVS2.

Didn’t you know that you can’t post in this thread if you signed up just last week?

lol why not?

edit: that giant CVS2 feels my heart with warmth, how has there not been a sequel already? did it not sell well?

0/5.

But on the off chance you aren’t trolling, I totally agree that O.Hawk’s jab is ass and has no real usage in ST.

3s is the apple of my eye but I do love me some cvs2

Any time I play another fighting game, I just wish it was 3s that I was playing instead of what I was actually playing the whole time…

most unbalanced…
ever played MvC2, a game where there is 56 characters and a large amount aren’t even close to viable compared to the top tiers. ( this coming from a person who likes the game too ) I don’t think any game comes close to being that unbalanced.

3s hadouken

You guys don’t know imbalanced. Clay Fighter 64 is the best of all times.

To some it is the best fighter. I personally like KOF 98, 2k2, and XIII more.

3s is the best

The game that I think is the best designed fighting game? HF
The game that I have the most fun playing? 3S by a mile.

To me I feel 3S is my all time favorite. Something about this game feels very good and very intuitive. The animation is superb (unrivaled if you ask me) and the cast is just weird enough for me to appreciate, but not so crazy to turn me off. Even a lot of the more extreme characters seem to have a good subtlety to their designs. The controls are awesome and quite responsive; I never seem to get something else unless it’s an obvious execution mistake on my part.

There are problematic things about 3S but nothing so glaring that I would dismiss the game or not give it top spot. I suppose peoples misconceptions of the game stem primarily from balance and they are right for having certain reservations towards some of the balance problems.

I always though 3S would be really cool if Capcom had the guts to make it entirely composed of a “New Generation” and excluded Chun/Ryu/Ken/Akuma and instead geared their efforts towards a cast of similar size but different characters. Not that I have anything against these characters or their designs it certainly would target a much different crowd. Whether or not that perspective is beneficial or more harmful is your judgment.

Something about this game really excels so much on various levels it’s hard to ignore.

Axl_m4ster please stop talking about SFII and SFIV cos you obviously don’t know enough about the games to have a meaningful discussion.

That’s because it’s much more fun to troll sucka’s in 3s. Tell the truth Ducky… :wgrin:

Yes, 3S is the best fighting game.

Very true. It’s like if you’re playing a game of chess where you can take a turn to move your opponent back a step and take the tile he wanted. Of course, you get a normal cancelled into a super in 3s, but that’s why chess is more balanced. Even this new version of it that I just made.

chess 2?
