How is strider good with deadpool? I’m planning to use deadpool(quick)/Doom(missiles)/Strider(Vajra).
I figure it should do him some good like with Chris to help him zone, and perhaps when Strider snipes someone in the air for a hard knockdown you can waltz over for a CHIMICHANGAS1one! etc
yea, deadpool has a pretty good dash so he’s capable of doing that.
there are a few things your character needs to work well with strider. First, they need to OTG for pretty decent life and this OTG ideally is a hit rather than a special. Second, when your opponent attempts to move around strider assist, which is VERY possible, your character is capable of putting shit in their run away angles that lead to combos.
what you want to aim for is them being constantly being trapped by either the strider assist or by countering their run away angles.
chris is pretty good @ putting shit where they want to run to. He couldn’t ever stop someone from moving in the air but he can flood the ground with those flame grenades and just reestablish another strider call which is still really good
If Chris sees it he can tiger knee a magnum and get a free combo
Indeed he can…a big beefy combo

Im learning strider. My Strider team is Dante/Strider/Shuma. When Strider is in i go into block string, call Shuma, wall grab and sandwich the opponent. What do u guys think.
I just hope your not actually using shuma as an anchor. Otherwise sounds fun.

I try not to but it happens. He has some terrible matchups but w/e.
I guess my final and most well researched strider on point team is either 3 variations. All work well and my win percentages with said team(s) is well over 60-70 % on good days. I’m still new to Dante so that percentage will only increase. So…
All variations are strider (vajra)/Dante (weasel shot) and your choice of anchor:
Doom (missiles) - more safety but less dmging confirms. So so team hyper but it won’t interrupt Dante so its all gravy.
Mags (beam) all around good.maybe striders best assist imo. Need to confirm things quickly.Bad team hypers.
Sentinel (drones) best th potential if you have to burn 3 bars. Easiest and most dmging confirms. Best happy bdays with all the bar your going to build.
The general goal is to do one combo, net a mixup and kill on the 2nd with strider /Dante lvl 2 team hyper .depends on how threatening the character your fighting is. Then on the last char you have 3 bars to gib them with xf oro.with 2 assists available.Weasel shot is insanely ambiguous with strider tp and can confirm Into surprisingly big dmg. Strider can cancel zoo insanely fast into devil trigger meaning all kinds of bad shit for your opponent. Hope they didn’t call an assist and hope I didn’t see them call an assist. Assists are generally fucked with this setup.

Let’s say I want to use Iron Man and Ammy to back up point Strider. He gets two of his best assists and can abuse the H Gram raw tag tech with both characters. All well and good, except I have to choose between two evils. IM in 2nd means I lack a safe DHC, whereas Anchor-man struggles to work 60% of the time. Which combination will screw me over less often?
IMO, put Tony on point then put Hiryu on second. But since you want Hiryu on point, use Hiryu/Tony/Ammy.
Id do strider/ironman/Vergil personally but that teams fine. Use iron man 2nd for tac infinite.

Ammy has a THC infinite too though.
I’m starting to use RR / Strider / Ammy as a B-team and it’s pretty fun. Putting Strider / RR / Ammy temporarily because I need to learn how to pilot him. I’m not sure what I can do to open people up in the neutral game, since most people I play against for some reason play really careful, or lame, just trying to keep the full screen while throwing beams and such. I can Vajra all day, but I feel like there’s other things I could be doing. If I get rushed down I’m not sure what to do either.
But RR / Strider / Ammy in that order is pretty fun. The health is low, and the damage sucks, but there’s resets for days, and every single one of them can be XF3’d. Also, this is the first time I’m using Ammy too, so I’m not sure when I should be calling her assist. I think I’m only supposed to call RR as a neutral assist, and ammy for mixups and lockdowns while they’re teching. What do you guys think?
has anyone messed around with tron strider? she seems like she’d be a good partner for strider…she picks up his slack in the damage department. thc gives a free mix up/combo on hit. she can self otg off of vajra. only bad thing is she’s tron(but i don’t think tron is worse than mid)
I’m trying to make a Wesker/???/Strider team. Would Dante or Doom be best for that middle spot?
IMO: Doom with Plasma Beam if Wesker’s first, Dante with Jam Session or Weasel Shot if Wesker’s second.
Trons self otg off vajra blows unless I’m missing something.

I have been using Chris (gun) Dante (Jam) Strider (Vajra) for a while. Decided I needed to stop relyiing on XF3 with Strider as its not gonna get me anywhere. I think Chris’ best assist for Strider is Boulder Punch. Strider will be pressured when he eventually gets snapped in, an Invincible Cross Over Counter is a safe idea I think.
While Jam Session is great for Chris, I also want to consider Strider. is Jam Session the best possible assist for Strider? There will be times when tagging out is not an option and I want to be able to have all my options available if Strider is on point with one or both assists ready.
