uuummmm i have to ask because it’s not explicitly stated anywhere that i can see

is the 5v5 team tournament an open tournament to any 5 players from the same region that decide they want to join? at previous canada cups the team tournament was reserved for specially selected teams hailing from separate regions only. has this changed?

the criteria on the website and the ability to register indicates that this is an open team tournament, but a clear statement rather than my presumptive deductions would be appreciated

I may come to the event and if I do I might want to enter the team battle but who would be willing to accept me?

I also would like to know if this tournament is PS3 or Xbox 360 based.

We will be taking whoever wants to participate in the 5v5, up to the 16 slots team limit. The only requirement is that all the members of a given team be living in or born in the same country. The team tournament has a separate entrance fee of $250

All games, except for Smash will be run on Xbox 360.

When will the schedule be posted for CC2013? Will pools for all games be on Friday again?

I’ve been really wanting to go but it seems like I will be occupied on Friday at least until 6pm. If this kills my chances to play SF4 pools I will be a sad sad man.

The plan right now is to have pools on Friday evening + Saturday.

The schedule isn’t final, but we do realize this situation, and will try to avoid it as best we can.

IMO you should do exhibition and stuff on Friday and leave pools for Saturday. But I’m no TO, so…

Friday will mostly be casuals and exhibitions to get everyone hyped and accommodate people working on Friday. If for volume reasons we need to run pools on Friday, we’ll to try not to start until early evening.
